Random niggas like D Rok from YB camp who slap their tag on some random kids beat just because he know YB is actually WORSE than AI

lmaoo its no rules to any of this s*** any more and yall (maybe not you) called niggas old and s*** when we was saying certain s*** was off a decade ago. Welcome to the future this is like 27th down on the list of crazy s*** theyve done to rap. My point is: You stupid niggas shouldn’t have turned rap into a strategic capitalistic game (in the 2010’s sense where its ALL about hits and whats popping and “bars” doesn’t mean s*** etc etc) to begin with lol

gang ima just tell you that the thing you are referring to is those producers outsourcing their workflow to a smaller team they either have directly signed or are paying

my homie and his group were ghost producers for 808Mafia cause he didn’t sign the contract but still wanted to work with them cause they liked their sound and it’s easier to throw you $500 for the exclusive and I add my own elements with you working with a skeleton idea I outlined of what the final should sound like

it sounds like finesse but that’s the game now and pop artists/producers do this too. that’s just the music business today because of how fast s*** moves, it’s impossible to keep up as one producer

and we didn’t do this. the artists sold themselves to the highest bidders and the bigger artists did not help such as Drake, Taylor and Weeknd who shook hands with the same corporations who already screwed them before cause what mattered in the moment was their win.

you do have labels like an Empire which is helping artists put that money back in their pockets (Tyga got a diamond record this decade with them) and s*** like LVRN, but we can’t blame the consumer when the generational major artists did nothing to support their peers when they had the power to in order to help shift market thinking into DIY/Independent artists and now they’re trying to do it after already bending the knee and now we just have a clusterfuck and no one knows what is going on anymore and the corporation just keeps getting richer in streaming and show while they artists fake martyrdom (Taylor’s versions? give me break 😂 she rerocking the same pack!!!)

I don’t get the hate. Y’all listen to people who use autotune. Use voice processors. And rappers who barely annunciate their words. I’ve seen people say ai sounds unnatural. But so does Travis, Future, Carti, etc.

And, the software will get better. Like in two years you won’t be able to tell the difference between ai and real s***.

Why are you mad about ai? The arguments I see is that it’s lazy, and uncreative. How isn’t it the same as what we have today with less steps?

We’ve got singers who can’t sing. Rappers who can’t rap. And producers who don’t know how to play an instrument for at least a decade now. Reference tracks. I heard Drake don’t even write his own raps :smokingduck: He just says them in a mic and 40 makes it sound better on his laptop.

Music has been about what the computer can do for a while now. We listen to drums that no one hit. Horns that no one blew into. And strings no one plucked. So what’s the big deal with vocals that no sang? Y’all sound like f***ing old heads.

He let him put his tags on it so he coulf post a YB placement on all his s***

Thats common as f*** bro lol

thats not the only situation i know either. Ai and all the problems it proposes is only a symptom of how we value rap or music as a whole in the post 2015-2018 era lol. This s*** is already a strategic video game

okay i see what you saying, we talking about the same s*** then just disagree on one thing

i just don’t think we should put it on the fans cause they don’t know that’s going on, you know? that’s on the artists and those willingly let that happen to their art for the “look” lol

When AI music takes off, that'll be my chance to break into the industry

  • Mar 30, 2025

Travis is so over hated man

  • Mar 30, 2025

Why would you listen to a song created by a machine. its not art at that point. Sure it might be able to recreate catchy songs but all it would do is regurgitate things that have already been made (and made better). But after consuming it for a while you will find that you wont love music and your favorite artists as much because there is nothing that connects to you

  • Mar 30, 2025

why are yall so desperate for art made by no one?

  • Mar 30, 2025

Between the beef, the complaints about the future of rap and mainstream music, growing discussions about how menial a “bag” is for your current day grinding artist, and the question of “will people give up their souls for AI” word to @BernieX, it’s becoming clear

The cosmos are clamoring for the rise of the avatar this calendar year. All the pieces are coming together

I don’t give a f*** about a rapper using a filter over their voice as long as they got in the booth and actually recorded those vocals. I’m not about to just “accept” rapper patch-modding their raps in because pro tools exists.

Unique human emotion and human perspective, relatability...something you cant get from A.I.

And as far as you last point goes

"We listen to drums that no one hit. Horns that no one blew into. And strings no one plucked. So what’s the big deal with vocals that no sang? Y’all sound like f***ing old heads."

Someone still had to come up with and play that melody. So you what you said is just dumb.

The whole point of art is human expression.
I dont know why you autistic, non-talented, unskillful, A.I. loving niggas cant understand that

I came itt to agree but the more you said the worse the take got.

I agree that Travis is AI like because he doesn’t really have an impressive presence on the mic and he doesn’t really have any great bars or moments as a writer. Many of his lines feel like generic filler.

I do not feel this way about Future and Carti. Both are better vocalists than Carti and can keep s*** entertaining with their delivery, vocal inflections and they both have more memorable lines and are generally better writers than Travis.

I also disagree with the idea that an artist using a computer as a tool for autotune and s*** like that is equal to what’s happening with AI music as we know it now

better vocalists than trashvis you mean?
