Is there a reason why sometimes when entering battles, my teammates get hit for like 60 damage an attack and Ichiban takes as little as 5 damage?
Also how important is it to stay with the same job? Switched from one that I had a level 7 to a brand new level 1 job. Am I screwing myself?
Equipment is the biggest game changer and it's cool enough to switch jobs and trying new out new stuff, I switched from one at like level 13-15 and stuck with the new ones rest of the game, some jobs just work better for the characters
I wish one day they will remake Yakuza Zero in a newer engine, feels so outdated ngl

Feels like they meant to do it in a way.
I'd prefer if they just did a beat em up again. I wasn't a fan of the turn based gameplay tbh

Damn I thought Zero was already up to date

Still the best Yakuza to this day, Y5 and Y0 sharing the number one spot
Don’t really want a remaster or remake but we need a Yakuza game that good again
This s*** f***ing slaps, Y0 so goated

What about this though

0 5 7 going down as my top 3 games in the series, wonder where they'll take it from here
Would love if the newer games had something like dynamic weather.
Snowy Kamurucho

now that you mention it, kinda surprised there's really no weather effects in these games. most we get is the mountain (lol) and Tsukimino in y5, but those are entirely separate areas that already have snow.

I guess the dragon engine couldnt handle it (yet)
Kiwami 2 down
I liked Kiwami 2 way more than Kiwami 1. The beat em up was way better, Enemies weren't as spongey, and the focus on weapon based combat was cool.
Skill tree was way more simplified and the progression was good. Felt a little weak at first but by the end of the game I was making light work of the mobs (which is how it should be)
It's crazy how a smallish Japanese studio can put out games with better stories than most of these western AAA devs. No wasted characters and good development for all of them. Actually funny humor. Solid writing and believable dialogue for the most part. The side quests were hit or miss but some of them were really memorable.
Lots of twists and turns too. Ending spoilers Terada being alive was something I did not see coming, that one really had me shook. Then they juked me again when he ended up actually helping them.
Kiryu is such an alpha male man. So inspiring

Whole series is fire, the older ones that got remastered but not remade are super fire too.
Also, nigga, smallish studio? It's sega lol

just finished Y2 Kiwami too just minutes ago
Goda remains the Goat antagonist besides Kuze. And man the the final talk got me really
The Terada comeback was bullshit though. They bought him back just get to killed by another suprise plot device by takashima which was killed then by ryuji. They should have cut the Terada part and it would have been much better

Music was overall was mid but the end was nothing but heat
Idk if I should play 3 or not now, apparently it's the worst one in the series. Plus it's way longer than 1 or 2.

3 is definitely the "filler arc" of the series
combat is a pain in the ass with all the blocking. i'd give it a shot if you're interested because it's def not a bad game, but you might just better be off watching the 3 hours of cutscenes.

Just seen gameplay and them graphics are rough even on the remaster
