lmfao he obviously doesn’t want to spend that much and he was asking if the S would be a viable long term option, didn’t ask what you thought of it otherwise

the console will last him a solid 3-5 years and he’ll be able to play all the same games as you at almost the same resolution and FPS, for at least $200 less. sounds like a win to me

also I got 10 games on my Series S rn, 4 of which are newer triple A games, so how much storage do you REALLY need?

not tryna pick sides here but like i said 4K is the current TV standard and the S only reaching 1440p leaves one 1/4 of pixel quality missing

most current games runs the same FPS but i cant see the S guaranteeing 60fps on Halo, Fable, Perfect Dark, GTA6, Starfield, next Doom, TES6, next Assassins Creed, etc etc

so yeah if u got $300 and a 1080p screen then the S is perfect for now, perfect for catching up if u missed last gen

plus AMD's new tech means lower performance machines achieving vastly greater results

yeah but not wanting to spend a little more for a console you will have for 20 years and use for countless hours is stupid

like he'll spend that $200 on fastfood and weed in the next week why not just actually invest in a better machine

Series S runs some games at below 1080p which sucks on a 55 inch 4K

also YOU may have 10 games but COD alone is like 200gb+ thats like a third of your console gone instantly. The storage on the Series X and PS5 isnt enough either

oh yeah, of course the resolution is the main pitfall but a lot of people don’t care/won’t notice that difference anyways

the Series X is obviously the better machine, but for the next 3 years i don’t see it being worth $200 more than the Series S unless you really care about resolution. i have no doubts that they’ll get Infinite and similar high profile games running at 60 either

if Halo Infinite and Forza H5 can hold a perfect 1440p @ 60fps on the Series S and you dont have a 4K screen then yeah you rly dont need the X

I've seen some decent ones on offer up but it could be a little sketchy.
Best bet is to make a Walmart account and have your info ready and use the Hotstock app to know when the walmart drops are. Ive literally gotten 3 of them so far off that.
