There goes the season
For the marlins? They can just call up some minor league players to make up the numbers for a few weeks. Not like they were going to win this year anyway

I agree with you, but many believe the MLB will just cancel the season. Time will tell honestly.

Cancel for the marlins? I haven’t seen anyone talk about entire league....could see some merit to just axing the marlins out of it tho
Do we have marlins fans itt? Please identify yourselves so you can pay for your teams crimes
The games are too close together for something like this. There's always a game for teams so one mini outbreak and you'll have cancelled games left and right

A bubble was the only way this season was working
This season is shut down by Friday, if not much sooner

First, "trusting the infrastructure" doesn't work when it was put in place by the worst commissioner in sports (not close) and a player's association that wouldn't comply with a bubble despite the 3 active professional sports bubbles (NBA, WNBA, MLS) working seamlessly so far.
It isn't possible to continue the season under the current rules and current conditions without exposing every team to COVID-19. It is very possible that 4 teams within the NL East and AL East have already been exposed, and 3 of those teams are still scheduled to play tonight.
The only way this season is a success is if Manfred and the player's association get on the phone NOW and agree to terms on a bubble in Arizona (which, to Manfred's credit, was what he originally wanted.) Shut the season down for a month, get everyone to the Arizona bubble, test, quarantine, do everything that needs to be done and play from there. The season literally cannot continue in its current state. There will be multiple cancellations every day until eventually no games are being played because every team is experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak due to exposure from a team they played a few days ago.
The way the MLB handles this will have serious implications for the rest of the sports world, professional and college. They are all watching closely

time will tell - cant overreact to 1 outbreak. they played the Phillies and that team needs to be tested. I see no point in cancelling when they can quarantine those that tested positive, and replace them with guys from minor league rosters.
bad leadership = overreacting to a non crisis. but a bubble would've been smart from the onset.

I can tell you don't wear a mask when you go outside just from your posts

it'll be an interesting next 12 hours for sure. no matter what, Manfred will get criticized.
lighten up Unity. instantly going all personal over a discussion about potential outcomes. we all just wanna see them play ball
What happens when some Phillies test positive later today?
thats the big question b. looks like two options:
1. shutdown league wide to determine what to do
2. have the affected players quarantine from both teams quarantine, postpone their next game so that Phillies/marlins can call up replacements, and play through it
