I'm gonna lean no but i feel like at one point this pitch has always been a toss up. When it was first reported last year there was mixed reporting that Reeves was fielding Clayface pitches, Mike pitched to DC Studios and it wasn't sure if he'd be greenlit esp when the strike happened.

Happy for Flanagan regardless cus he's talked about doing this for years as a standalone. Don't think he really cares where it ends up as long as it stays his pitch

I'm still in the camp that thinks fans take Reeves quotes too literally and end up being more strict about what his universe can do than he himself

The Flanagan film will be Gunn world but sounds like Reece’s is taking a stab at clayface also

Haven't watched yet but isn't Clayface technically making his DCU debut now in Creature Commandos? Surely Mike isn't just using that version and inheriting Alan Tudyk for this.. I feel like this is def a toss up until Gunn steps in

Having a Batman that is grounded and Batman that can fight people like Dr Phosphorus and a comic accurate clayface is nice also. Wouldn’t want an entirely grounded DC universe.

Next two episodes must be Dr Phosphorus and Nina’s backstories then the final two wrap up the season
