could go either way but i can totally see Gunn doing a X-mas release. this film is supposed to be uplifting/hopefully and there's no better time to release the trailer than X-mas.

Am I the only one who thinks Gunn meant for this to be a spiritual sequel to Suicide Squad and not something pretending to be new and original?

It probably is, it confirms a lot of the canon from the movie but I’m getting tired of the Gunn stick of misfit group with odd characters forced to work together while vintage soundtracks play during fight scenes

He does it well but it’s also getting old

WB asked him to write an animated show after the success of TSS. So I wouldn't be surprised if he sees this as a spiritual successor in some ways. And all this happened before he took the CEO-gig.
