It's kinda wild right? Like in the long history teen heroes Spider-Man is the only one who's exist a teen hero the Ninja Turtles are the only other comic teens with a franchise around THEM but are giant mutant turtles and Shazam markets itself around him being an adult.

Chronicle and Kick Ass were both small budget outside of studio system films and Kick Ass 2 went nowhere so it's weird.

It sucks but also I think it's just the reality of Hugh Jackman being so good it's like either there would've been no franchise or he was gonna be the lead.

The films helped carry X Men in the public eye as Marvel comics left it to die brand wise in cartoons and books so I can't be too mad
