more than the ones people have already been shouting out in the thread? you want him to reach back to years past and remember who has done this when it's clear it's been a trend, why
lol
Weird comment but
Barry cant swim
Honey dijon
Duke boara
Tsha
Bonobo
most recent albums all rolled out like this if i remember correctly. I think elkka is doing the same thing right now
Man I love Bonobo
Valid, he should delete them as they drop. If I was a fan of him I'd just add the most recent and delete the old as i go to keep it clean on my phone. Same way I delete singles when the album drops
I’m keeping Slide just bc I like the cover

Cause it’s a music forum where we discuss music so I would just like some examples (outside of EDM) of people who’ve been “doing it for ages” lmfao. The examples given have been in the last year or 2

have you been doing any independent research or just waiting for other people to dial back several years in their minds to random times artists dropped singles in this manner. what work are you doing.

I literally got this from an interview with a music executive which led me to look it up and then create this thread cause I saw Yachty had done it. You’ve shared examples, thank you! That’s all a nigga needs damn, like what are we even arguing about rn
Part of community is putting people on, so why get mad when someone asks for examples

we're not arguing fam. i'm saying people have given examples and you're asking for additional ones from a longer time ago, when you can type in some names of artists you know and check out their singles sections on whatever streaming service you use too. it doesn't take long. i don't know how successful people are gonna be getting that info to you off top. but let's see, maybe the good folks of ktt2 will prove you and i wrong

Ight fam you got it, salute
Ight fam you got it, salute
as i'm listening to music today if i come across any i'll come back in and drop em man
I despise putting loosies in my library so i guess I’d appreciate this type of thing from an artist I check for?
not for the GOATS
You won’t catch YEAT doing this nonsense
why?
because he has an engaged fanbase that are always looking for him to drop something new
this strategy is good for an up & coming artist
but for someone established, it makes you seem thirsty for streams
& before you call me a hater, I really enjoy Yachty’s music
he’s dropped a lot of heat this past year, Holster, Slide, and Solo Steppin Crete Boy are all really dope
This style of release doesn’t vibe with me personally
guess I’m just an oldhead
Yeat is white
It’s been happening in Spotify for years, guess it’s only been happening recently on other platforms
?
yeah, that's the other thing about asking people. the memory is fickle lol as far as i know and can see rn, Miguel hasn't done that. maybe homie is getting confused with the Art Dealer Chic EPs and thinks those are some sort of compilations?
Examples?
First example I could think of
Tints was the lead single to Anderson .paak’s Oxnard in 2018 spotify.link/jRjHTjVX4Db
The second single, Who R U? adds Tints as the second track to the single spotify.link/vCTASpoX4Db
It’s probably done by record labels as way for smaller artists to get more streams/revenue

Appreciate it dawg, ima check ‘em out
There’s nothing wrong with grouping the previous single with the new one your releasing
But to call each single drop an EP is scust
?
His Art Dealer Chic series, up until 4, has a song that's on Kaleidescope Dreams
Like idk why this is even a thread

brother those art dealer chic EPs were 3 actual real EPs that Miguel released (via soundcloud I believe) in the months leading up to and teasing Kaleidoscope Dream. Adorn on Vol 1, Arch and Point on Vol 2, and Candles in the Sun on Vol 3 were then included on Kaleidoscope Dream when it dropped.
he uploaded them for the fans on streaming in 2021 when he made a new 4th installment of the Art Dealer Chic series. so this is a completely separate thing from what OP is talking about, but I can see how you'd be confused if you weren't around for those drops back in the day.

That's the same thing, The Weeknd has done this too but you got it
You seem to care way to much about this bullshit conversation
