i like him alright most of the time, but all of his arguments come from a place of deep cope. if the weeknd's album rollout was any good, he would not have to badger people into not criticizing it. he would not need to defend such genius decisions as releasing the only decent single from the album as an "apple vision pro" exclusive, because that would not happen in a scenario where this was planned well.

It’s pretty crazy tho how he flopped with Dawn FM and the hype completely died out

cause usually artists have residual success after dropping their biggest album

you could say he set himself up by doing so many bundles with after hours. it only did like 160k streaming units, which is not that far off from what dawn FM did. the drop off came because bundles were banned and he didn't bother doing physicals.

i think this time he has both bundles and physicals so it'll probably do significantly more than dawn FM, but only because of pure sales. i'm expecting a pretty mediocre streaming performance.
