Remove the rap tracks and this is a great album for sure
Classic song
I’ve always loved it but I always tend to f*** with the songs that “everyone” agrees are the worst (GOD on DAMN, Carousel on Astroworld, summer games on scorpion… hell, drunk and hot girls and Hov’s verse on Monster were always fire to me)
I don’t even really like gambino or the album that much but it’s undeniably a classic, anyone who says otherwise is just hating. This album was one of the defining projects from its era even if it’s not the “best” more technically
I agree but one (not saying you’re saying this) can’t simultaneously call it a classic and totally diss the rap songs cuz 3005, Sweatpants and The Worst Guys are the three most iconic (not necessarily best) songs on here
cause the rap tracks are on it.

@op
BTI is most definitely a classic album, it has all the things that makes powerful.
1. The timing
2. The rollout
3. The production and themes
4. The tour.
Everything was super on point.
KTT won't give him the credit, because they find too "corny" or "pretentious".
Same way how others feel about Tyler.
The short film for the album with Trinidad James and Chance was fire too
got some of his best songs for sure but it still has a lot of that corny ass rapping he was on
I agree but he definitely toned down the corniness a lot from the s*** before though
Crawl
The Worst Guys

Life: the biggest troll

Life the Biggest Troll is my s***, it’s such a mood
id go as far as to say every track is good. I mean the weakest moments are the first two songs and even then they're not terrible just underwhelming compared to the rest of it
perfect album
It is a classic and anyone who disagrees is just a hater desperately tryna move the goalposts on what constitutes a classic album.
I’ve always loved it but I always tend to f*** with the songs that “everyone” agrees are the worst (GOD on DAMN, Carousel on Astroworld, summer games on scorpion… hell, drunk and hot girls and Hov’s verse on Monster were always fire to me)
How to be a contrarian 101
Nah man, it's a great album, but the album felt more cater to classic Parliaments. Plus it has the worst Gambino song ever imo.
California is better than Warlords & We Are off 3.15.20
Also... I'm assuming this statement is disregarding lots of the trash he made pre BTI
BTI is overrated by those that love it imo
I enjoy the album but it is super flawed
If you haven't read the script that accompanies the album your opinion is invalid. One of the most inventive things I've ever experienced with music. That script takes the album to the next level
