Trump ‘counterculture’ era where everyone willingly wants to be on the wrong side of everything
I also think too that this case is kind of complicated and for ‘hip-hop’ media, I.e. those who have been around puff daddy, Cassie, etc it may be hard for them to think of puffy in this light given that this is the person they thought they ‘knew’
There’s a level of critical thinking skills kind of needed for this case too that I think these hip hop blogs and commentators don’t have
Idk how long ago y’all did it but this nigga is the sentry y’all can’t convince me he’s real or he’s been in this reality the whole time
I mean you’re not missing much
Buddy went trough some crazy trauma. People know him bc he came out as one of bambaatta’s victims. He’s an abusive a****** in his own right tho

This series will tell you everything
Acting like the majority opinion of Diddy isn’t that he’s evil is ignorant
He's on the Midnight Marauders album cover.
And is a victim of Afrika Bambataa.
did not know the midnight marauders thing
Because unfortunately Diddy is hip hop.
1997 easily the worst hiphop year oat bc of biggie and pac death and that was also diddy's biggest chart year

Pac died in 96 but diddy was a part of this

yeah ik I'm saying the void could be felt in 97. but 98 rolls around and dmx drops hell is hott and restores the feeling.
joe budden def went to a freak off
'yall ruined freak offs' - joe a few years back
Looked this nigga up I’ve never seen or heard his name a day in my life, this niggas whole existence feels planted by this thread
Youre not tapped in doesnt mean other people arent

niggas wasn’t thinking about Billboard until Nicki Minaj crashed out on Travis and Stormi
It’s complicated @op
Besides the “hip hop toxic masculinity” thing which of course thats true. It’s a number of factors.
Fear of revenge if Diddy actually gets out. Nobody wanna be on the receiving end of smoke from a nigga that blew somebody car up.
Timing with this and ©️Chelsea’s Bodyguard (which regular smart ppl see the play but for folks that already hated Meg and looking for ANY semblance of an angle to cling to, bodyguard provided it) after Tory getting stabbed up by a chomo on a sensitive needs yard has a lot of people, men included, on edge.
There is actually (and originally I fought against this), a lot of discussion as this case unfolds about why or how tf is they putting a RICO case on Diddy when this seems to be just a donestic abuse case? If it was just him and her and whatever escorts, then hitting Diddy with a RICO just sets a really dangerous precedent. And as a nigga from Atlanta that sees them already tryna do that with protesters (no Cop City), this is kinda unsettling.
I think (and I’m actually going out on a limb here) Tony Buzbee and Diddy was homies and he definitely succeeded in muddying up the waters with all them 1000s of cases which most of them ended up being fugazy rubbed a lot of niggas the wrong way. After the Hov s*** it kinda hit me this nigga Tony mighta gotten a huge undisclosed amount of money from diddy ppl to even take that risk of false accusing Hov.
Diddy deserves to die for what he did to Cassie, and for other people’s lives, and his part in other things (like murder. But they not charging him for that either!?) either prosecution slow cooking (this case aint gon reach a conclusion til 2027 or some s***) or they reaching with this RICO.
SB: pepperidge farms remembers when media was talking abut some sextape involving an a-list male celeb with diddy? That just went away like magic huh 🤔

Interesting
Makes sense tho i never understood why a lawyer would be willing to stack up those bullshit cases when the real one is a lay up
Are we gonna act like Diddy was never a pillar of the genre itself? If any media outlet is going to support him it’s going to be Hip Hop
I wonder who that A-list celeb was
it’s Bieber or Usher
they “couldn’t tell if the celeb was of age in the video”
not at all
the majority opinion is that Diddy and Tory are trash
Not really for Tory lol
1997 easily the worst hiphop year oat bc of biggie and pac death and that was also diddy's biggest chart year
of all time????? surely 2019 exists
To me it doesn't rly come across as really trying to defend and protect him as much as just trying to dissect the charges?
Most of what I hear is them saying that the RICO seems disingenuous and like it may not stick, but that he IS a piece of s*** and should've instead been on trial for domestic charges.
I listen to JBP and it comes across as more of an open conversation where they explore all angles, rather than just diddy bad. There's a lot of nuance when it comes to the psychology of 2 people caught up in exploitative relationships fam, it's not black n white.
