Again that’s the magic of it. Obvious this is some type of romantic scenario but anything more than that is a reach. There’s no linear narrative beyond these are things that lovers could say to each other which is fine lol but it is what it is

They just aren’t going to tell you what they’re talking about line by line and deviate from the topic of the song especially Travis

Every line is about some different s***. I’m not saying it’s bad but y’all are hilarious acting like he has any intentions other than his songs giving you a certain “vibe” lol. In saying this in here, how y’all reacting and how Travis tries and fails at this I do see how that itself is an art.

Frank isnt a story teller or a linear writer yeah I agree but most of his songs have a topic that is easy to grab onto without reaching and honestly he has several songs that are linear and focused he just doesn’t do that style all the time
I just wouldnt say he doesn’t have substance or his songs are just random

Obviously there’s some type of reference to popping pills, gay sex, and “still sound like it’s coming soon” is a super hard way to say his music ahead of it’s time
but “a fan comes up to him in Starbucks” couldn’t be a much more perfect example of “it’s vague wordplay about popping pills but if you ask a Frank fan they’ll write a Euphoria episode treatment” lol

Nah Frank would have had more little details that would have gave them more room to create interpretations lol. Parasail, Telekinesis, My Eyes are great listens while high but lyrically there’s so much more he coulda done even in that “vibe” lane of songwriting
