To be honest OP, it's basically that first post that @One said. From 10-23 I was a die hard Kanye stan due to the fact that he made music that I heavily vibed with and his personality & aesthetic was so much different than a lot of the niggas that were poppin at the time like Wayne, Gucci, Jeezy, etc. Got teased/ builled for it a lot growing up but he and his music got me through a lot as a youngin, into making beats & taught me a lot as well. Eventually people grow out, though this site is OD with it.

I just find it weird to see people wasting time doing it. At least on this site we talk about music seriously some of the time.

In some cases, it's the fact that the stanbase is large and they know they can get away with it.

Like with the Drake stans, there's so many Drake stans here they know there's strength in numbers and prolly spammed your notifs cuz they knew they could and wouldn't get called out (until now)

Some of it is just trolling, then some people genuinely have nothing better to do. Like seriously, they don't.

I wonder why stans enjoy arguing? Like sometimes it does get fun or funny to just argue back and forth about which fave is better. Not to the extremes like @op examples, but just the normal banter in threads can be fun to do and funny to watch

Even in stan twitter they have civil discussions, this forum & stan twitter is literally the same

Because some stans on here like to live vicariously through whatever artist they stan, & I guess they feel like if you're attacking their favorite artist, it's a personal attack to them.

I don't use twitter so I wouldn't have the right to make that comparison.
