    BRAVE

Cause the songs are boring as s***. It’s really that simple

i'd actually like you to kinda expand on the idea here of what you believe the perceived failures amongst these artists are and what you think one should do in the right direction of this

also i really dont like modern dance music

you can't dance to it the way it was designed

you can dance to candy by cameo

dance music was popular in the 70s and 80s in the clubs because people were actually dancing lol. Nowadays, these artist make so called dance music but it's not really dance music tbh. Build the DJ set and watch niggas pull out their phones. Dance music era died a long time ago.

most of this is literally wrong

    statically and trends lol

stats and trends show that its not dance music

    its electronic / pop music

dance music isn't a thing anymore. The modern day term is EDM which is basically just goyslop "rave music"

You do know House, Synthpop, DancePop, EDM and Jersey Club, DnB, afrobeat, dancehall are dance genres right while most of them also are being electronic and then sometimes pop adjacent

While DJ culture is literally bigger than ever to where DJs can tour alone and have media dedicated to just them

And then this isn't even including overseas opportunities and success outside of the Americas

its just umbrella terms put into a rock tumbler

its not really authentic dance music. DJ are popular yes which i never denounced but they are not playing "dance music" they are playing pop, house, and EDM goyslop with annoying bass drops. Then you have keinemusik which is basically mainstream electronic music leaching off the sound of south African house music, which they do very well i might add. And to your overseas point, those are the people who truly appreciate different genres of music.

So you don't know what dance music is even in the 70s and 80s which all of these existed back then besides like two of them and you are not talking nonsense just because you don't like the music of today

Don't know what goyslop is but no one agrees with you

And I have no idea what your hang up on Pop adjacent dance music is when a lot of dance including the eras you are talking about built off of the Pop scale such as House and Disco, in fact it's the more hardcore electronic genres that differed at the time such as DnB, Electro and variousTechno like Detroit Techno that was more underground and used more novel techniques, sounds and structure that were taking a lot of cues from Funk bands in their early days, and a lot of later 70s Funk used a lot of electronic sounds as well such as the most famous Funkadelic - and Synthpop literally made in the 80s that fused Funk and Disco together to make ppl like Rick James, MJ, Prince, Janet etc. that literally has electronic and pop in its name

Then you have the 90s era of Dance RnB, Dancehall, Reggae Funk, City Pop, Acid, eurodance etc.

The 2000s you have things like Reggae Fusion, Reggaeton, Industrial, Rave, synthwave, go-go etc.

Dance music and DJ culture did actually die in the mainstream for the most part besides a few outliers with little innovation outside of like Dubstep (which I personally dislike for the most part, especially the extreme "meme core" robo boops variant that was it's most popular) and went back underground (outside of popularizing dancehall and afrobeats in mass) like the 70s but in the 2020s it's back mainstream and literally the most popular genre variants along with Country and these two have replaced Rap, RnB and Rock n has created a few more niche genre innovations such as hard style and hyper-pop n more 💀💀

If this was a convo last decade and with the rise of ish like Phonk, the extreme Dubstep and Vaporwave that is "dance-adjacent" but not really made for or can't really dance too then it would make sense, but the future is the present and that's not now

They all have one thing in common:

Clarifier: I'm referring to artists who are known for making other genres stepping out to make an attempt at a dance album. For example, someone like Kaytranada wouldn't apply here since dance music is his home genre.

All of these projects were met with lukewarm-to-negative reactions from fans and critics alike, with all of them considered to be a significant step down from the artist's usual level of quality. Don't Tap the Glass was the only one to get a generally positive reception from critics specifically, but nowhere near the same level of praise any of his previous studio albums got. Personally, I enjoy Honestly, Nevermind, but I agree on the consensus opinion of the other three albums.

As lockdown lifted in 2021/2022 and dance music started to become a defining genre of the decade as people began to get back outside, there's been a plethora of female artists who achieved significant success both commercially and critically within the genre, but for some reason their male peers are having trouble hitting the same heights.

What do you think could be the reason for this? And who are some prominent male artists right now that you think could drop a high quality dance record?

My first pick would be Uzi

The first 3 are not Dance albums. Tyler has said it’s not a dance album (great album btw)

Honestly Nevermind has dance elements but overall it’s just an alternative R&B album.

Deadbeat is just Tame Impala mursick aside from the few instrumental heavy grooves.

I didn’t get through Harry’s album to comment yet

By white jews you mean Ashkenazis? They are basically German and Eastern European, that's a big EDM demographic. The no. 1 artist on Jeffery Epstein's Spotify account was Tiesto.

yea. i see a lot of them walking around near my city.

but there are jews who are even more white than that in the midwest.
