New to driving by myself - anyone got any tips for judging the distance on the front/back of your car when parking? I always seem to think i'm gonna hit something when there's probably a bit more space. Right now i'm triple checking the space whenever i park My instructors car had all the cameras and sensors so made it real easy but i have none on my current

Youre sitting too low, sit high enough to see the front of your bumper til youre used to parking

As far as judging distance use your mirrors firstly, but a lot of it comes from experience. When I started driving a lot of cars didn’t have cameras and sensors unless it was a top tier luxury car. I bumped plenty of bumpers in my time lol s*** happens. That’s how I learned. Hop out and look if you need to. Just keep backing in whenever you can and you’ll keep getting better.

Also am I meant to take out the FM transmitter I have in the cigarette lighter socket when I'm not driving the car? It turns off when I switch the engine off so I'm assuming it's not drawing any power
