    Official Car Thread!

    What finna tryin do:

Im in USA and thinking about getting into track racing here n there locally in my city and the next one over for fun.

I only know people that street race or drag lol. So, not very much technical or "legit" racers. Im into Track & Rally racing, but wanna start with track cuz rally is even more expensive & F***ING SCARY lmao.

Anyways, i wanted to know the opinion on these 3 cars for track racing. I found at least one example of each that i want. Theyre all American tho since i live in USA its easier and cheaper to get a car in the country of origin, for stuff such as parts, repairs, advice & info etc. So i dont have to worry about beating it up, upgrading & getting information.

They are 90s cars, getting them used (ofc) with a budget of $4000 to $10,000 for the car itself in full, mixed of performance plus looks, dont care if Manual or Auto but prefer Manual & high miles dont matter except a cheaper car lol. Idk when i will fully pull the trigger tho, but here's cars im looking at in the order im mostly excited for atm (the colors of the picture is the color of the found main examples im looking to actually buy):

    1. 1993 Ford Mustang GT Foxbody Convertible 5.0 auto drive (this one i almost bought already):

Mine is soft top convertible as mentioned above tho, but cant find any pics with the soft top up on google lol:

    2. 1991 Chevy Camaro RS 350 V6 5 Speed Manual (would want to put a v8 in it at some point, especially if i want to drag it):

    3. Chevrolet Corvette C4 V8 5.7 1994 auto (this is the car i looked at the most, the 80s to 90s c4 ones):

I would also wanna throw a body kit on this mane and repaint it if i could, which would cost me a good few more grand but would be so heat

Anyways these are my choices im looking at. I genuinely like all 3 of these cars and any help or advice is appreciated from maintenance, realiability, peeformance or personal experience etc.!

Take that foxbody, max power it out and drag race it

  • Jul 12, 2021

I’ve seen amazing things done with fox body mustangs so I’d go with that out of the three

  • Jul 12, 2021

To be fair, all these that you can supe up and take it to your local drag strip. That Foxbody Mustang rules and the Camaro too.

Mmmmm bmw window regulators and cooling issues

    Always fun

Its easy as f*** to find BMW parts though and easy to work on. Theyre up there with Subaru with everything being interchangeable between chassis like legos.
