if covid stole years of your youth that's on you tbh

This is super narrow minded perspective. A lot of young people couldn’t afford to lose their jobs that were supplementing enjoying that youth. I know a lot of people who had to drop out and/or were financially struggling.

If only you knew how much government support was lacking, but you wouldn’t cause you were privileged to not experience that

So hilarious to see the store open at 8am and a crowd run back to the toilet paper aisle and clean a pallet like piranhas

bro u gotta be a wannabe mod or something if I'm not mistaken, every time I stumble upon a 'controversial' thread I see you asking for someone to get banned because their thoughts don't align with yours

That’s the first time I ever said that dumbass

On top of that, all of those Walmart bins of discounted movie dvds were completely emptied out too.

    I was livid. Can't have s***.

Everyone acts like they knew things all along, but II’ll never forget the first month or two of the pandemic when literally no one was outside and everyone was scared to go into stores. That feeling was crazy being in grocery stores seeing fear in everyone.
Hope we’ll learn but expecting we won’t

Times Square was literally empty, s*** was insane

Working retail in 2020 and 2021 caused me to have no idea what lockdown is, literally nothing changed for me except distancing and masking.

And getting to see some of the strangest behavior the human kind has to offer.

Facts dawg. I’m glad I got out of retail. Working at Starbucks during peak pandemic really showed me a lot about our society. Lines around the corner into the street on drive thru, endless number of people walking up to the door asking when inside will be open again for seating s*** was sick. People would wait in line for 30+ minutes for fast food like wtf

Honestly, this is the biggest lesson I took from the whole thing. If I don’t have anyone to go with, I’m still buying tickets. If I’m nervous about asking her out, I’m just going to do it and see how it goes. If I want to move, I’ll do it. I’m eating the takeout and smoking the joint if it feels right. I’m going to live while I can, because everything can change at any moment and I’m not getting any younger.

yup i gathered the same thing. some of my friends never recovered socially they just got content staying inside but now i kind of move with no reprehension i just do what feels right because that period in time didnt give me the choice to do things

Just a few thoughts on the whole pandemic from me:
Tbh those first two or three months of the pandemic were very nice for me.
I worked from home, started cooking for myself more healthly and started jogging in the nature every day so I actually got in great shape for the first time in a while. At night I mostly played Fortnite with my homies for hours or watched movies and TV shows with my girl, s*** was super chill actually

Croatia also had a very relaxed stance towards lockdown, so after those first few months, we basically followed Swedens example and just lived life as usual, but with masks, vaccines and being more careful, I guess. I actually returned to office back in June 2020 and still work 90% of the time from the office.

So I never really experienced the harshest aspects of the pandemic - losing a job, or worse - a loved one, or feeling lonely and cut off from the world, etc.

I wish something like this never happens again tho, RIP to all those lost to the damn disease, and I hope when the next s*** hits the fan, we are a lot more prepared - but knowing the human race, we won't be

I mean dude wasn't saying his "thoughts" he was completely lying and acting in bad faith.

Sees a graph that says 3.5 million vs 500k death and says "see getting vaccinated does nothing" and trying to start s*** unnecessarily.

This is ktt you shouldn't expect every single person to be well-informed/well-educated. State your opinion and try to educate and if that doesn't work well let it go then, no need to call the ktt2 parents lol

Nah dude was an edgelord troll who was responding ridiculously to unrelated posts, also clearly an alt who posted the same exact way before being banned multiple times.

  • This s*** ruined so many people’s lives man. My business went weeks without a customer, s*** was so hard to bear. Glad we survived but many didn’t. This was not a fun time but at least there was more time with family…Not worth it in my opinion. Glad most people got to enjoy tho revealed a lot to me about how privileged a lot of people are to view that time as a mini-vacation. So many people didn’t make it and had to take major steps back in life. I do not wish to ever relive that time again

    s*** stole years of youth

Yep. Had a talk with coworkers every other day during the pandemic about years lost for adults and the young.

There's a generation of kids who probably don't have 1-2 years worth of correctly managed education due to frequent school closures, bus driver vacancies, parents pulling their children out due to mask mandates, remote learning scrambles, etc etc.

It was eerie seeing barely three or four students per day out of a class of 20.

Man I don't know the dude I posted because I've seen a pattern of those "wtf??? @ mods! ban this dude" posts and neither do I like it nor do I understand the motive behind it.
