All the other animals in the animal kingdom looking at the stingray that killed Steve Irwin
I cant see myself with a white girl tbh
She would have to be chill af. These b****es be corny as f*** to me
Done with arguing with people over opinions. your opinion is wrong is so pointless, neither party is going to change their mind. I’m glad you like what you like, good s*** brother
Ok so I’m looking into the S-MM2H visa which is specifically for Sarawak (East Malaysia on island of Borneo) and it looks like it’s more affordable
You only need financial proof of $25,000 in savings, make a fixed deposit of $150,000, buy a $150,000 house in Kuching (optional but 150K is the minimum)
Kuching looks beautiful. It means “cat” in Bahasa Melayu and has cat statues around the city. Also looks like they have amazing diverse food.
!https://youtu.be/Ru0fTWfuh8oNah this so random cause I'm actually from Sarawak lol. If you need insight or questions let me kno

No way lmao that is random af. I do have some questions, idk if you’ll be able to answer visa ones though because the rules seem to change from time to time.
But like how long did you live there?
Why’d you leave? Or are you still there?
What’s it like?
Favorite food?
How are the people to foreigners?
Any cool things I should check out that I might not have come across yet?

Im local and it's where i grew up. Im one of the main ethnics. there's like dozens of native ethnics in Sarawak btw and they speak their own language. Local Chinese are also part of the main demographics
It's like a different country comparing East Malaysia (Sarawak part of it) and West Malaysia because of the demographics. Overall though people still get along, most folks are chill and cordial with tourists and there's a plenty exposure to English among the locals, if you come across people who cant speak proper english they still very likely able to understand you
Expect crazy varieties with the culture and the food. The main stuff is Malay, Chinese, & indian but they also got localized so they uniquely become their own thing. Some similarities with Indonesia too and it's also trending with locals lately. Singapore has the most similarity with MY. Will say we that we dont do dairy at all, there's more use of coconut milk in dishes. No cheese, no butter, anything beef/bbq kinda lacking. Plenty of palm oil crap (MY the main manufacturer lmao)
Will say MY offers the most well-rounded experience. The neighboring countries lowkey does tourist stuff better. It's the kind of country you want to live in if you want the quit, stable life yet it still retain that uniquely SEA theme/brand. Most countries in the region really similar in lotta ways. Lately though the benefit is getting more obvious cause all these countries is going though hella s*** with nature. Volcanoes = earthquake/Tsunami in Indonesia. Government already shifting away from Jakarta to a new city that they are still developing in Borneo (Where Sarawak is at). Typhoon in Philippines, Thai have severe tourist issue, flood and they on a verge of war with Scambodia
Malaysia + Singapore lucked out from all these potential disasters. The worst it's gonna get is flood but you just gotta avoid the certain areas. Oh i should mention the weather is hot + humid. Tourists are not great with that i've heard that from the Koreans, Japanese, Westerns who travelled here. Basically it's slippers and shorts szn for the most part and watch out for rains. If your drip game relies a lot on layering you gotta rethink your stuff
I think i can speak on more stuff but i'll wrap it here for now

Thailand and Cambodia beefing??
I’m from Florida so I’m used to hot/humid combo and rain/thunderstorms and hurricanes but I’m sure it’s on steroids being closer to the equator and all.
But I’m tired of grinding away here in America while the whole system slowly crumbles. That quiet stable life is exactly what I want. Kuching is calling my name. I just hope I’ll be able to save up enough money to get there and retire. Although it looks like they accept part time work in the Sarawak program which other Malaysian states don’t give out
That’s cool af though which ethnicity are you then?
Damn just looked it up. Looks like it’s the whites fault again. Border disputes over a temple that ultimately ended up in Cambodia due to French colonial maps

Yeah they was sending rockets to each other months back. The situation has simmered down a lil but the tension is still there
You'll get by i think, my own opinion is idk what the fuss is either with the climate but im built for this since day 1 so cant say im reliable
For expats, especially americans if you can retain earning USD make that your priority. The local opportunity is still not too good imo. There are teaching jobs in private, international school is what i can think of

I’m hoping to just stack up so much cash that they’ll let me stay lol
I think they ask you to have RM100K in savings which is only like $30K. I was looking into also buying a property but it’s optional….and as I’m typing this I’m realizing that means I can just rent
im so dumb. Ever since I looked into this I wondered why buying property was optional, I can just rent a place!
i feel like this got a little easier for me. But owning property does sound cool too
