got laid off today. they laid off 4-5 people and i part of that group. kinda figured it was gonna happen soon cause at the start of 2023 our company was sold to a bigger company and the bigger company has been doing terribly and they've done multiple rounds of layoffs since they acquired us. they actually let like 6 people go right after christmas and morale has definitely been low recently

feels weird, never been fired or laid off and while i liked my coworkers and i had been there since 2021, i don't really feel any strong emotions. not sad, upset, mad or anything really, just kinda indifferent idk
