S*** fire and didn’t receive the love it deserved. Why continue to try to blend different sounds when people still gonna find reasons to dislike it?

People should be content with him dabblin in sounds and genres but instead call it cheap and uncultured. This narrative is tired.

Kendricks tpab has been done before.
Jazz hip hop done all the time.

Kanye’s jesus walks has been done before.
Gospel/hip hop done all the time.

They didn’t create anything new, they just did it their own way. The only difference is they’re not Drake. If anybody else made controlla, blem, HOWGH, Hotline Bling, everybody would love it. But because he’s this mixed lightskin from canada with a huge fanbase people say it’s wack or not experimental enough.

Y’all do realize that when we say this stuff it’s coming at his NEWER material right? We all know how much these songs influenced his previous records before Views. Drake was always great with sounds and sonics but that’s taken a backseat once he became the biggest artist in the world which is understandable. But denying that he isn’t trying as hard as he was before nowadays is foolish stan s***.

Drake has done all of these before and I can give you better versions of them IMO. That’s what I’m saying about this new album is that they’re all kind of mid versions of great records he’s done in the past.

And here you go with being defensive again. I’m done talking about Drake with Drake stans cause it just leads to y’all being overly defensive for no reason. The difference from y’all and other fanbases is that you think Drake can do no wrong when that’s impossible for any artist.

The problem with us stans is that we go based off facts not just random thoughts with nothing to back it up. And yall hate that.

Don’t get me wrong I know there are crazy stans you can’t argue with. But doesn’t deny the fact that anybody that argues with us just be talking and can’t actually provide evidence or examples

N 2 Deep is cool and i’ve stated it’s my favorite off CLB.

IMY2 just sounds like a MOTM3 leftover Drake decided to harmonize over.. there’s no chemistry on that track at all.

NFITI - Energy is MILES better than this s***. In fact all of the aggressive songs off IYRTITL are better than this cause at least he doesn’t sound passive aggressive on those.

Demons - Literally just hoping on the drill wave but War is the better version of him doing that period.

Haven’t listened to Havin Our Way.

What’s Next is literally not “experimental” or different for Drake at all and I like that song.

Lmaoo energy is just similar in content. I would have respected this more if you mentioned nonstop as similar sound but yea NFITI is better than energy. Energy was just that, an energetic song but nothing really potent in the lyrics and I’ll take the bounce/trap beat over energy’s keys.

And passive aggressive?

really down to die behind these verses in my notes is probably the most aggressive s*** I heard him say. Out of all the lines from his tough/aggressive persona, that line is definitely his hardest no question.

And last time I checked Drake never had a sound like MOTM, so it was perfect for him to try and then have cudi on the song? And they both sound great. Lmao yea man I can’t take you serious.
