then you understand why it has only risen in acclaim and why sgt. pepper has been waning, right?
It’s influence has been waining I always thought Sgt. is overrated as f*** but only took over 50 years to see people propping it less in favour of the other latter day Beatles albums and Pet Sounds
Why is it only us Hip-Hop fans that do this s***? Seriously I don’t see you guys doing this with those old Rock albums
This ain’t a rock site
I honestly can’t remember the last time I listened to Sgt Pepper’s, and I’m a Beatles fan lmao
sgt peppers super classic

Bro did you not read the page you posted this on
Not sure I do
The influence of Pet Sounds rings true to this day(Fleet Foxes, Animal Collective) and doesn’t sound like a product of its time. Sgt Pepper’s, however, sounds very 1967 lol

i think people were legit afraid to be critical of it and acknowledge its flaws, but now listeners are finally judging it based on the merits of the music, as opposed to its accomplishments and influence.

I know people listen to other s*** here beside Hip-Hop and this is in the music section.
It’s annoying.
Fear of a Black Planet that’s still a classic now.
It’s not going to change.
the last time i listened was a few years ago when they released the remix. i haven't revisited since. if i'm looking to get a beatles fix, i'm reaching for rubber soul, revolver, or magical mystery tour.
is it weird to say that i don't love the White Album?

no one wants to discuss topics that were discussed 40 years ago and repeatedly for those 40 years since
instead we pick the same 5 albums to talk about in the last 5 years and repeatedly talk about them instead. it's a huge improvement trust me

Blonde syndrome
is it weird to say that i don't love the White Album?
their most overhyped album, has a lot of filler, but high highs

There really are no skips on MMT. What a great album
I knew this would happen
Niggas trying their hardest to say Blonde isn’t one of the best albums of last decade
WTT, sort of. it’s weird bc like half of it’s aged like wine and the other half just keeps sounding more dated(who gon stop me being the obvious example)
a lot of people that were praising it as his best album are already backtracking and glorifying Flower Boy as his masterpiece. It hasn't even been over two years yet.
Igor is to Tyler to what TPAB is to Kendrick
Same thing with Flower Boy and GKMC

sgt peppers also has some of the most iconic beatles tracks of all time

of course not, it's a hodge podge of ideas and solo material, tbh. i love the mess that it is, but i understand why some people don't favor it. it spreads itself thin and is as disjointed as it can possibly get, but as weird as it may sound, i think that's where all the charm lies.

the messiness of the album is what I love the most about it lol
the things is, those aren't the people who in 20 years will be dictating what's popular or was cool to like in the past and present. we'll be old heads and the kids won't care what we think
I understand that but why should what they think or what they deem cool undermine the moments that the music gave to us?

well Flower Boy has always been his masterpiece that hasn't changed
Blonde syndrome
lol damn, this one hurts, but we're gonna see in like 10 years if it's true lol

i think the worst thing is when those songs occur. like it kinda gets into this slump in the middle and then bounces back again. The bonus tracks are 100 % necessary to give it a classic feel imo

True but from front to back as an album, I’d take Pet Sounds any day. I don’t skip any track on that album.
