You're wanting the answer to something thats many steps ahead of the current conditions, and then the answer you're asking for, you'd still say "it doesn't work like that" "its impossible"

There will still be people working on producing ps5, xboxs and many other consoles. People who need those will get them from them.

The part of society who works on producing them.

No you’re telling me I don’t have to worry about it under communism

I’ve waited like 2 pages or sum to be explained how this could be the case

    you have gotten your answer

the ability to produce such items doesn't cease under socialism.

you're asking for a specific type of plan that'd require multiple conditions under capitalism to be fixed (i.e. basic necessities met instead of punishing people for being poor),

and your obsession with a material non-necessity is telling, to your priorities in the first place so I can understand why you can't understand basic concepts about socialism and communism, I hope you will one day though good luck

Bro have you never had a conversation about philosophy or politics? The most self centered view would be to only care what leftists like me care about and not care about what capitalists who think like the question I posed would feel about the changes I want made to society.

The overwhelming majority of the population believe it or not, actually subscribes to the “boo hoo f*** them people I want my insert materialistic item here” literally all across the world. Mainly because of the point you all raise that under this magical communist nation we’d somehow have entertainers who somehow aren’t considered the elite class BECAUSE working people need time off from working so much. THAT is actually why most people today feel what you described as “self centered” because most people don’t have the luxury to give a f*** about the rest of the world’s struggles. They have their own at home.

So I mean yeah you guys can keep having your revolutionary discussions or you can try to make this ideology actually appeal to people instead of calling them self centered for not being full blown marxists lmfao.

Like sure on it’s face “boo hoo f*** them ppl I want my PS5” sounds disgusting. But at the end of the day I’m talking about supply and demand and simply saying instead of completely eradicating the economic system and reshaping it from the inside out I’d like it to stay somewhere relative to where it is. If that sounds so self centered to you then so be it. But may I propose this question: what isn’t self centered about your desire for a communist society?

you are, quite admittedly on here, not a leftist.

If someone can't be appealed to because all they can think about is "where is my luxury item" then they aren't going to be appealed to. but guess what, most ppl want their material needs met way more than they want a ps5.

And here's the thing. let's say, in what is probably your worst nightmare, that getting a ps5 becomes exponentially harder. i don't think i could manage to give a f*** if people are free from the chains of wage labor, have housing, have healthcare, education, food etc.,

Aren’t you implying that the resources needed to produce a ps5 will be distributed in other, more important areas first and that’s why it’s many steps ahead?

I’m saying we can have both, ps5 and all the important s***, without having to take resources away from any area.

Communism would make lives miserable for every American except those at the very very bottom. Not hard to figure out why. You should do some research on the topic. It's not my job to educate you

Not at all. Everyone would live the same, and that quality of life would likely be very poor. Not poor at the level of the homeless, but very poor
