Someone mentioned earlier billboard awards is about charts and sales & Grammys should be about artistry. If thats the case then the committee has missed the mark for decades lol. Look at the best rap album category this year and tell me with a straight face that THOSE albums were the best and most artistic rap albums that 2023 had to offer dawg.

If the Grammys is about awarding artistry in its most immaculate celebrations then it should BE that. The problem is who majority runs these committees and how out of touch they are with what is actually pushing the needle.

I want them to hand out the awards to the blockbuster albums. The ones that the culture actually tuned in for. Thriller, 1989, 21, Midnights. Stevie Wonder 3x. They all deserved. They defined the years that they dropped in.

To award real creativity and give a platform to up and coming artists who need attention as opposed to letting a handful of artists have decades-long reigns where nobody else gets any shine
