By using the word abuse you put it on the same level as illegal sexual abuse. Even socially people tend to associate these words. There's people until today who think the guy from Brockhampton raped his girlfriend because he was accused of "emotional abuse". They should find a less extreme word
I agree that there's an issue with using the same terminology since it can cause people to make those associations, but we call a bunch of things abuse, just because people are dumb about it doesn't make it not a thing tho

There is a concept here in German law called the general risk of life stating that not every negative behavior can be dealt with using the law because life itself is full of risks we have to deal with daily
