Idk dude basically called me an idiot for not liking the black and white scenes...im sure there was a point to it my point is it took me out of the movie and felt distracting and unnecessary...I still liked the movie overall might b one of my favorites of the year so far

I sort of play it by ear with how much digging I wanna do. Like, I listened to the filmspotting podcast talk about this movie, and it gave me a lot of revelations, and I don't feel like I'm worse for it. It totally sped up the process of my change of heart. With some, it's "let the mystery be", with others, it's "let's solve this s***". Your relationship can be fluid and different like that.

my first time seeing a wes anderson movie in a theater

it was packed and every joke killed. and beautiful ofc, seeing his work on the big screen feels like the only way that makes sense now lol

im not sayin yr stupid im sayin it's weird to ignore "half" of the movie. like, the "asteroid city" part of the movie doesnt even have a climax, which is literally happening offscreen when the main character breaks character cuz he thinks he doesnt know what he's doing anymore.

also it's not actually half the movie, it's the entirety of the movie, which is honestly just footage of people working, and it even shows people f***ing up doing their job sometimes too, like brian cranston's character wandering into the line of the women's bathroom

had a fantastic time w this movie
