what I love most about wes films is that I can’t explain them. You just got to be there.

you just find yourself getting lost into the characters as you go through the journey with them

Others itt can explain it a lot better than I can but it definitely stands out compared to the rest of his work. Ironically despite its aesthetic I'd say it's as cynical and tragic as Grand Budapest Hotel.

Do you like any of his other stuff besides Grand Budapest?

I feel like to get much emotion out of this movie, it basically requires that you engage with what it’s saying. The characters are very slight on their own, but they all add up to an interesting picture. More than any other Anderson film, you’re meant to VIBE to this. I’d liken it to a more successful Hail Ceasar!

I can’t think of any other films that have captured the “pandemic feeling” better than this one (unless you count ‘Inside’ as a film).
