Saw this a couple days ago. Wanted to like this more than I did. He’s been lost for a while now. Too stuck getting more actors than actual characters and his own brand of overstuffed quirkiness. It’s been a while since he has put out something I thought was good.

The streets are saying this is Wes at his best

Man just say you don’t like the movie, to say things like “he’s lost” are overboard and assuming of what he’s trying to accomplish with the movie.

I don’t understand what you’re trying to say, he’s the opposite of lost or he’s trying to accomplish nothing with the movie?

i'm saying it's wrong to call him lost. if anything he's gotten too comfortable in this pocket that he's been in for about a decade.

he's not someone who doesn't know what he wants to do, he knows exactly what he wants to do and people either don't like it, or are getting a bit tired of it.

I can agree with that, personally haven’t loved anything he’s done since Fantastic Mr. Fox. He has his formula, this one caught my eye cause I’m a huge fan of Retrofuturism so I’m just going to see some dope shots

Wes Anderson at this point will give you the expansive cast of verbose characters who speak in monotone to a bright symmetric background. I haven't grown tired of it but if it's gotten to the point where meme trailers of his films are too accurate, then yeah, he's beeen comfortable.
