And he's always been sus ngl
thought it was just marketing tbh
back in the day it was selling
to me what gives it away without even looking too much into it is him turning girls he’s seen with always all looking the same the way he wants it - when there’s a pattern like this even as hes old OLD there’s something to it, it’s the same pattern you can find with r kelly
so when you add to it the confessions from not just the girls but him through out his history, it’s a given
what scares me is not only how long he got away with but what he got away with - the rumored lost tour promo video of him abusing that girl as cam footage, back in those days you could see it as shocking value staged s*** in the air of the blair witch days, but looking back now in retrospective im worried about that woman and what was done to her, she needs to be reached out
I'm playing my pianoooooo
you know matt bellamy gonna flip over this one, as if he didn’t love weezer enough this gonna hit home for him

Never expected to like this as much as I do, especially after their past few albums.
Right off the bat? They had released 3 studio albums which didnt sound any like Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. So that's not really true.
come on brother, this really not fair tho
this is from coldplays first album and their first hit:

slow ballad piano song..
then this on their second album, even a bigger hit, same slow ballad piano song and with strings this time:

how in this continuation an album with a whole orchestra to back up his piano ballads is a big left field move? in contrast to the weezer song i posted from their first album, and if i need to insist this from their second album:

glad you liked it tho
Yeah he sounds great man, after all these years, gotta go with Numbers being my favourite - Actually that's probably up there with my favourite Weezer songs. Don't think there's a single bad track on here, some hooks could be better but it's hard to fault when the production sounds so lush.
Will peep again shortly but they delivered
and in that list i left out all my favorite songs, taking it for granted smh what a beautiful single, maybe their best lead single in a long shot, heavenly song
if they don’t drop grapes as single smh..
im mad this didn’t make the cut tho, we need a deluxe:

so happy you liking it this much
i love pacific daydream but saying it’s the best since white or pinkerton is totally related

Damn, I'd be here for a deluxe.
I hadn't heard the singles prior but yeah that was a great intro and really set the tone for the album. Enjoy it very much, will only grow after more listens too.

Slow ballad piano into an album fully produced with an orchestra doesn't seem like a 123 to me. And by one or two songs you seem to dismiss the sound Coldplay really had with their first albums, which was rock in its essence. I will say the move itself to an orchestra is more logical than with Weezer, but that was not my initial argument. But we can go on forever, great album it is.

tbh ppl have harsh expectations - it’s a rare performance to pull off something like ewbaite or the white album this late in their career, for most artists in their 40s they go through a rough patch or at best some okay releases that is nowhere near their peak, white imo is in the same conversation as blue and pinkerton and we can’t take this for granted
even if they did one or two odd releases since, but that’s bc theyre super productive - almost one album by year now, hell rivers has 4 albums ready to go for 2022! they’re seasons themed, one acoustic for spring with songs closer to island in the sun, fall is going to be dance rock à la franz ferdinand, summer is going to be crunchy beach boys and winter singer songwriter influenced by elliott smith (this is from rivers himself im not theorizing), the long awaited julian casablancas collaboration is in consideration for one of them i forgot which

yeah what a way to start the album with this single
Manson definitely did that s***
how is this even a question
Have you read his statement
He basically admitted to it...
"it was all consensual despite what they're trying to say right now" (paraphrased)
Yeah he did that s*** imo

no but it’s more given than to what weezer set up it’s what i meant, also i understand coldplay first albums are more radiohead rock but these are still the biggest hits out of it and so what a majority of casuals will identify them with, so like the grain is already set there in popular culture, natural evolution
dont mean to start an argument lol, you’re my brother
what’s ur fav take away from okh?

Heard it, it was not bad at all
Even the screaming part : I get what you're trying to do with it
If it's a draft/demo you can improve on the singing and timing and it'll be A-ok

Thanks man, I know the feeling of hearing your voice and being like "wtf is this s***"
I guess you just have to say f*** it and do it
Facts but the confidence can lead to a masterpiece
There's a part of me that doesn't want to convict mm just yet but it's way to controversial for ktt so I'll stfu 🤐

Only a few weezer albums I return to so I didn’t have any expectations going into this. Maybe I should revisit white because I liked this a lot more but I’m a sucker for grandiose production. Also some of these songs are very Beatles-esque which I love.
