But I think your choices scream idk Safety. Like you just stick to black and maybe white pieces that are easy to put together and then don’t stand out when walking around. Your palace pieces can’t possibly be the most interesting pieces they produce, but rather the most baseline “will sell to the largest demographic” type joints.
There’s no experimentation of textile silhouette color or anything

Overall this outfit is not ugly to look at, it’s just rly rly bland

RT what everyone’s saying already about this. This is inarguably a serviceable yet bland fit. This outfit may be generically fashionable as it is on TREND. Yet it lacks any signature flair of personality. Anyone can throw ona puffer and AF1s no 🧢.

My personal approach to styling outfits is considering what individualized perspective I can bring to each outfit. Whether your hobbies are music, literature, art, whatever it may be try to impart a bit of your own taste into your outfits. That ultimately is all we can attempt to do if we’re serious about pursuing the ethereal concept of ‘personal style’, which I believe is this thread’s unique strength.

So many posters have come through this website and begun exactly where you are now. I myself got/continue to get roasted for my outfits yet I take the time to hone my taste and listen to the feedback of others here. It’s not an overnight process but gradually over time if you stick with this thread you’ll eventually get to somewhere (ideally) that is an elevated state from where you began. The alumni of this thread speak for themselves. Mishaxs, Vox, Gary, argew, superhans, Hans, sachee, chase , steezus … the list goes on…

As far as a starting place. You’re in good shape. Where you go depends on your own willingness to accept constructive criticism and acknowledge your own shortcomings (easier said than done).
