It’s American but the creators made up some random name with no meaning to make it sound danish and exotic. ä doesn’t even exist in the danish language

And when they first created it, it didn’t sell much, so they raised the price to make it seem like it was higher quality even though it was the exact same ice cream and it worked

They don’t sell it anywhere in europe other than the uk (probably cuz they know people would realize it’s a sham)

thought the name thing was common knowledge. that’s just called good marketing my g. doesn’t change the fact that it does taste better than most non premium/basic grocery store pints (hd isn’t premium ice cream). Also doesn’t have a bunch of artificial flavors/chemicals in the recipe.

hd isn’t even expensive anymore. same price as Ben and Jerry’s and s*** is literally on sale almost every other week at Safeway

s*** mighta been “premium” in the 90s or some s*** but it’s 2020 and it’s pints that are like twice the price of hd, and if you can find hd at gas stations/corner stores it’s prolly not that “premium” tbh.

nah everything rovo said is correct but I wouldn’t say it’s a scam. hd/bj both have higher butter fat content or whatever and both focus on using better ingredients so you are getting what you pay for. 4$ pint isn’t premium ice cream and that’s more on you If you mad that it’s not.

ppl prolly find out about the fake euro name then feel dumb then get mad but doesn’t mean the ice cream itself is bad.
