how you do tempura?
how you do tempura?
its actually rly easy
i hadnt made it b4 tht but i just followe d this outine for all my tempura:
food52.com/recipes/9915-carrot-and-shrimp-kakiage-mixed-tempura
i dont think the cornstarch is necessary actually, i looked at a few other recipes n they dont seem to hav it
another recipe: justonecookbook.com/shrimp-tempura, includes dipping sauce
bscly u just make the batter
dust your things w flour
dip in batter
fry til golden (kakiage you just drop in as a clump and it just stiks together)
and thn serv w sauce (soy sauce, mirin, n sugar simmered 2 melt everything)
my brccoli cooked thru perfect at the bigass size in da pic, but i think the carrot chunks were a lil 2 big, they werent quite as soft as id want
hope that helps
it was rly tasty and a nice way 2 eat a ton of veg
i used like 1 cup of flour for that entire plate but i definitely shouldve made more, i was scrounging od hard at the end
plus the extra batter you can just drip into the oil 2 make little fried dough bits and serve in udon
