Some people just weren't ready to move on from Peter Parker. But the spiderverse and video games have helped a lot
I was there when it first dropped, the divisiveness was there. I didn't know how to describe the negative reaction to the album initially, but "anti-intellectualism" is definitely the word for it. It wasn't until the beef when so called "rap fans" started to realize lyrics do matter in rap, whether it's to party, diss, or tell a story
And people can decide to not like it just cause it's not their type of music. But the lack of respect for the subject matter was pretty horrid given the things that were being spoken on that album
mfs is dumb
Nah I just think the general normie audience doesn’t know how to process an album like that
it's an album for 30 year olds, those younger won't understand it yet
Morale show in ATL was a generally mix of younger and older Gen Z so I heavily disagree. album is an a***ysis of life for everyone to sit and listen to when they’re ready. classic work
Same

I really liked the record when it came out! Unfortunately it has been permanently removed from my library.
