My nigga imagine Mike over Swizz Beatz in 1998 type s*** or the NORE neptunes beats he wanted

He should have followed through with that artistic impulse because that’s why Bad worked, new musical styles x the greatest showman in the game

Him spamming new jack swing and the ballad type s*** is akin to Drake spamming NBA 2k trap beats and r&b for IG thirst trappers in their 20’s or Kanye spamming trap and his post 2017 cinematic mash up style of making songs

They all lost “it” when they stopped innovating

I love MJ with the ballads tho lol. maybe it got played out at the time but that's the MJ i grew up with. The Thriller version is what i had to get used to after. It's like when newer Drake fans refer to CLB as old drake

I PERSONALLY enjoy Bully way more than I do Iceman but Made of Honour is slightly more enjoyable than Bully imo

Feel so bad for you bro 🙏

Feel so bad for you bro 🙏

it’s my opinion so there’s no need for that lol

  • Either way, MJ, Kanye, and Drake are cemented.

MJ is still celebrated postmortem. Drake is still the biggest rapper out. And Kanye's doing well for a legacy act. The only rapper from his era who's bigger commercially is Eminem.

They have their controversies and what have you but their legacies in music are cemented and will be studied for generations to come.

i know this is a foreign concept to yall but it’s possible OP could be talking about the quality of the music and not numbers.

Give me an example of a major artist that never stopped "progressing" as far as artistic quality in the eyes of the general public
