He arrived late and integrated fast. He barely posted through last winter: 22 posts in October, then single digits. Then he ramped from about 200 posts a month in March to 1,800 in July. By his own account, he "never really frequented this thread until bmass touched me a few weeks ago." Five months later he's one of the thread's regulars, with 7,551 posts.
His humor is shock-first, deadpan, and built on fake confessions. He posts things like "Just beat up my wife in front of my neighbors," "Im gay and coked out," and "stressed about high school," from a single adult with a desk job. None of these are sincere. The bit is saying the unspeakable in a flat voice and moving on. His most-liked post is a roster giving every regular a one-line catchphrase, and one of his best-received is "Liking both Camille and Bruises posts to keep this puppy going. Like fanning a flame." He likes starting fires he then watches from outside. Actual hostility is rare: under 1% of his posts, mostly playful.
The real material comes out in the same voice as the bits. He's said plainly that his father was an addict. When the thread talked d****, he explained he's never tried much besides one Adderall in college because "my dad and mom both had addictive tendencies." Elsewhere: "My dad drank himself to death and called me Fat Boy," and "My dad loved the bottle more than he loved me," followed immediately by "Hey look that post was the old me." Orangutan answered the first one with "Bruh 😂," and he let it go. The pattern is someone who delivers painful facts at joke speed, so nobody has to decide how to react. I'd be careful reading much more into it. It's a posting style, and people use it for all kinds of reasons.
His offline life reads as stable. He has an office job with a boss he mocks affectionately, work conferences, a New York office he visits, and a 90-page NASA document to review. He has an 8-pound dog, and one of his most sincere posts is just a good morning: the dog ate breakfast, the work system is down, Wordle in 3. He drinks occasionally and smokes weed and says "thats enough for me," a choice that reads as deliberate given his family history. His warmest memory on record is driving two hours with his mom to watch the 2024 eclipse from a diner patio.
He's sincere when someone else goes first. His strongest bond is Tuneout. They're each other's most frequent partner (Tuneout replies to him 1,338 times), and when Tuneout posted about watching astronauts travel farther than any human before, Stankie answered with a genuinely moving line about the crater named for a commander's late wife. His other close ties are Kodak, Camille, Orangutan, and CutiePieHole. Recently he described that last friendship as "reblooming" and announced they're going to a Ye show together as "a powerful testament to forgiveness and friendship," which suggests there was a falling-out first.
In short: Stankie is a grounded adult who uses shock humor as his default register. It lets him say anything, including true things about a hard childhood, without anyone having to make it heavy. He's at his most openly kind in reaction to other people's sincerity, rarely in his own.

He's the phantom. He showed up with a backstory already loaded: "Just know / That person is dead now / I've changed." Camille's immediate reply was "@Vibe?" He's also posted "I've always been here, I am a phantom" and "Kodak not the same person he was when I was first itt." So he's clearly a veteran under a new name, and he's never said who. Nothing in the older data shows up under either of his names, so his past self is still an open case.
He's the career-advice guy. When Nort asked what he does, he answered ("I work at a financial firm, client relationship associate") and then gave a full TED talk on call centers: "Call centers got me where I am today. Slept on career path." After that came a whole series explaining how much of daily life is secretly call centers ("When you lose your debit card and need a replacement and call the bank, that's call center"). He's also the guy who'll tell you to actually apply for the benefits you're owed, because "these benefits exist for a reason."
He's his mom's biggest fan. "My mom and I are so tight," and "She worked hard and raised two boys. She did her best and we both turned out alright." His best line about her is a roast of himself: "Think the worse thing my mom did was convince me I am intelligent... she laid it on a little too thick. Went to my head." ET's reply: "Only someone intelligent would make a statement like this." They also argue about movies. She hated Sinners because of "the evil voodoo," and he's still processing it.
He's the unc of the thread, literally. His big brother handed him a CD book in fourth grade and The College Dropout was in it, which puts him around 30. He's protective of the hip-hop he grew up on ("Ken Carson is so disconnected from the hip-hop I grew up on, may as well be another genre") and says it's what he knows best, because "that's the culture I grew up in." He grew up in Aurora, Colorado, and now lives somewhere in the Virginia–Carolinas area. When ET couldn't believe the Aurora part, he added that the famous theater was his local one.
His humor is dry, fast, and a little cold on purpose. When ET mixed him up with Classique: "Yeah all black people post alike huh." On someone's link: "Bro posted his garbage itt. That's what he thinks this thread is worth." He has a recurring bit about demanding a suitor bring him 100 foreskins for his daughter's hand. And his most-argued-about take: "Sparkling water>>."
His circle: Kodak is who he replies to most, Tuneout replies to him most, and Camille, rvi, CutiePieHole, and Bruises round out his regulars.
In short: UncMC is the steady older head who'll give you real career advice, defend old-school hip-hop, clown you in six words, and never tell you who he used to be.
