Getting your album #1 and getting a #1 billboard hit while being blacklisted is incredible and if you don’t think they won’t go even harder with the blackballing this next time you’re crazy

    Go out on top

You caught them off guard already

Take the W and feed your real fans

You proved you’re still the king

    Exactly this

Yall were literally in here complaining about the streaming services taking the album of streaming and now Ye is trying to sell you the music directly for $5-10 and it’s omg no

    lol no logic in here

He can do it but its just proven to not work because of music piracy

Streaming services can take the music away from you at any point like they showed you with V1

    Just buy the damn album

Nah only if you were importing the original DRM protected file

Thanks, yeah I imported the album I bought from his site

charging fans $60 to watch him dance around while music plays = an act of charity and kindness for the people

charging fans $10 to listen to an album he worked really hard on = literal slavery

People feel personally attacked because they feel Kanye is robbing them

    I pay 10 dollars for 1000000000 artists
Why would I pay 10 dollars for 1 Kanye west album

Streaming has devalued music to listeners

I’m old enough to remember going to buy an album before streaming was a big deal
I had a beats music subscription before they became Apple Music

People used to buy albums even if they were on streaming because there was a value to getting that album #1 and selling x copies

Streaming has devalued all of that to here’s 10 dollars give me all the music and it’s ridiculous

I’m sure it was propped up by venture capital and such which kept the bigger artist paid
But that’s drying up and we’re left in a place where the DSPs and the labels own and make all the money from all the music

Ya I’m philosophically opposed to the concept of never truly owning stuff and it goes deeper than music

We get streaming services have artists in a chokehold , but the option is don't drop it on streaming and have a few thousand people actually buy while the rest of the masses rip that s*** for free and you get nothing compared to the "something" it would be on streaming..it's a lose-lose situation.

Sometimes you need to lose now so the artists can win later

That second sentence is pretty much it, especially after everything he’s done.

People just don’t value paying to listen to music they can access for free like they do a concert

    I been saying this
he could make 20.000 $ if only 4000 people buys it directly from him (given the price will be 5$)

to make 20.000$ off streaming you will need more than a few millions streams

I wonder if the exposure through streaming would indirectly advertise his clothing (his real money maker) than people going into the website and buying the album

You're definitely not wrong and Ye could definitely start a trend , but you would need another big name artist to follow suit for it to be a successful movement I would think
