when you spin Vultures 2 and The Death of Slim Shady back to back
This has to be the worst ye project right. Donda 2 isn’t real and was a collective hallucination so that doesn’t count
Waiting til updates but I enjoy it for being less edgy than vultures 1
Yall making all these reasons for why you can’t stop listening to ye music the first second it releases
They’re in an abusive relationship
Top 1
College dropout and yeezus are betyer
I don't think of art as burgers and I'm not going to treat consuming it the same way
Anyway I don't think the comparison works if you think about it for more than like 10 seconds
If I grew up eating at a restaurant and I loved their food for over a decade I would probably try new menu items and I would be honest about how I felt about them
I don’t think critique of art shouldn’t be allowed or discussed in depth.
I think the bigger issues are that:
1. Most people critiquing art have at best a surface level knowledge and understanding of art in general and speak about it in a very vague and shallow way. They don’t understand that art, even the worst of it, is hard to make. The internet has given a platform to all opinions, but some opinions have no business being platformed.
2. The fans that do know what they’re speaking on more often than not are never satisfied unless the artist is doing exactly what they want, or creating the exact same art that initially made them a fan. Both things are impossible to achieve.
Critique is important for an artist to learn and ultimately grow from, but an artist should never give in to the audience and give them what they want.
Too many fans think that artists are in service to them, when in reality the fans are just experiencing the art that the artist chooses to share with the world
