This beat is so f***ing bad especially given how good Michael Uzowuru normally is.

If it wasn't as abrasive it would lowkey be some heat. But it just sounds like a demo on one of those kiddie drum machines.

    Nah that melody is horrible

Sound like bro just sat on the piano and threw some drums over that 😭

it’s not that they have “misses” per say, but they all have projects that are obviously weaker than the others.

Vince - his early tapes and FM
Danny - The Hybrid and Hawaiian Snow
Kendrick - Section 80, UU and DAMN

Perfect to me is no bad albums. They don't have to all be amazing, but they all have to hit atleast.

If we measured a "perfect discog" by all perfect albums then that simply doesn't exist for anyone then. Cuz everyone had albums that are "worse" then others by definition.

Vince has more a perfect discog than Kendrick (but I'd argue he has a perfect one too, but DAMN/OD are too divisive for that to be unanimous and this is from a stan) or Danny

    Is DAMN divisive?

To me, even though TPAB is looked at as a masterpiece, that album was more divisive. The general public couldn't stomach alot of it and I remember that album getting so much unwarranted slander until DAMN came out and became the new scapegoat.

TPAB got too much "acclaim" for it to be divisive.

DAMN got flack from day 1 for "dumbing down" for the mainstream.

DAMN didn't get flack. It was better recieved than TPAB was lol. And it got the same critical acclaim

TPAB got the worst kendrick response initially.

Yeah but who was really saying that aside from some nerds on the internet that hate half of rap music?

If I can recall, DAMN got overwhelming love critically and commercially. I mean it even won the Pulitzer Prize (which shouldve gone to TPAB, but that's just my opinion).

DAMN. Was received better in the mainstream than TPAB.

TPAB was the album that wasn't well received.

"dumbed down for the mainstream" means the mainstream receives it more.

Jay Z said it back in '04.

I'll give you OD, but that's more of a mixtape then an album. And personally I'm not a huge fan of Kendricks pre Section.80 work.

Oh for sure there's some great songs on that. I just didn't really like his earlier voice as much.

lmfao absolutely not, he’s probably never topping Summertime 06. BFT is half greatness and half mid, and FM is weaker than some of his mixtapes when did you start listening to Vince?

I've been listening to Vince since he dropped Hell Can Wait.

For the record, most people that quoted my post agreed that BFT is his best project.

I love Summertime 06, but I think BFT surpassed it.

BFT is good and I’m glad he attempted to do something to deviate from his og sound but I feel like his performance wasn’t on par with the production

He sounded like he knew what he was doing on S06. Production was true to his core sound but still felt fresh and versatile. Some of his best flows on there. Senorita and Norf Norf are like his best performances. Didn’t realize how fire that album was til I had to revisit it. Did that when he was only 22 which is crazy to me

A lot of uzi’s beats around that time were a little weird and cheap. Crazy how far he’s come. All of his frank production credits are immaculate
