he'll never top SC2 and S06
SC1 Vince was elite

Iโm talkin about his early feature days up to stolen youth, sc2 was his first project after being signed. Agreed those are probably his best projects even though I like winter in prague, sc1 and hell can wait more
10 listens deep and itโs getting better with every spin, still not perfect and the two skits on such a short project annoy me, but the more I listen the more I can see why itโs his self titled album

Ain't really start bumpin with Vince until Def Jam honestly.
Though his guest apperances on Dom, ALC, and Action's joints were fire, I wasn't feeling his projects back then, especially Winter in Prague

No ID taught him how to make structured songs.. up to that point he was just rapping

I like this more than Tyler's album

To each his own but this s*** way harder than just about everything he released after. I love the mike uzowuru beats and Vince was hungry as f***

BFT is his best, but i know im in a minority

I think thats a pretty popular opinion, as far as rapping it's not even in the conversation to me tbh and as far as the best album S06 for me
Am I the only one that saw the tracklist and thought their would be more horror film plays or sumn

His rapping was better but his songwriting structure was better for BFT, more creative and refreshing. Summertime was a good ass rap album but he tapped into something different with BFT. I want more US rappers to delve into that house/garage inspired sound but im from the UK so im biased in that sense
Vince built his career off rapping. His last 2 projects have been underwhelming in that aspect and focusing more on making radio friendly records which I get but it's not what he's been known for the majority of his career. You can really see that by those singles he released before covid (sheet music, hell bound, so what) even though I thought sheet music was okay it was clearly not what I was trying to hear. This album feels like a nice balance between what he's known for and radio friendly songs but even still it's a little disappointing
Word he can make all the radio records he wants they just gotta be good
This feels like a project full of filler songs
I see what he was tryna do with this one though. Heโs going for a different vocal style and the project does feel more concise than some of his other s*** but itโs boring
