i've been thinking a lot about this record and vince's stance on s*** and i feel like he did himself a huge disservice downplaying his own music and artistry his whole career

I mean he did even during BFT but it didn’t matter because the album was great

Problem is that he truly has just gotten lazier in his vocal performances and songwriting. His production has also largely gotten more boring (though it’s a step up here)

I agree with most of the criticism this is getting but still think it’s perfectly fine music lol nothing to write home about but fine to just throw on. Some people hating a lil too hard.

Maybe this will grow on me in a few months

That vinyl was a purchase I definitely didn’t regret but can see where the criticism here specifically is coming from

Definitely some ear worms on here, enjoying this more and more with each listen. My expectations were a little too high but man this is refreshing in the sense that he’s trying to make some political statements and try something different. I fw it overall! Cotton probably my favorite rn

They changed the genre to this on Apple Music from Hip Hop to Alternative which is what Vince wanted.

This feels like a miss for me

First and foremost, feels like the songs are not slapping the way they should, all very muddy and feel like there's a layer between me and the music, but aside from that all feels a bit painting by numbers for Vince

The parts of this u see in other things doesn’t mean it’s not a unique sum even if we assume these comparisons were apt

A bassline that reminds u of tame impala mean the album is a tame impala rip

Funny thing is nothing in here reminds of tame Impala at all they just crybabies
