I mean I think it’s different if they made it more clear zoisia was in control than hive using zoisia body to convert carol. It’s a interesting moral quandry
I think introducing Zosia to Carol in the first place was a smart play by the Others. Especially because they found someone who looked like the main character from Carol's books (who they knew was originally meant to be a woman, via Helen's memories).
I also think that the plan to use Zosia to turn Carol, or at least, to get her to quit her mission to change things back to how they used to be, will eventually backfire on the Others because I don't think it'll be an easy fix getting the whole world back to the way it was. I think Carol would have to first succeed in turning 1 person back and I think that person will be Zosia.
Of course, once that happens, it'll be interesting to see how the real, actual Zosia will react.

Yeah exactly this . In finale I’m thinking zoisia will be the one who breaks from hive . Wondering why we aren’t sure if the last attempts changed her at all . It’s possible it did then the milk and cuddles resynced her

It's a lot of places they could take it. Does Zosia lose all the knowledge she gained from being a part of the Others when she changes back to normal? Does she even want anything to do with Carol once that happens? How different will the real Zosia be to the Zosia Carol has come to like and care for?
I really hope episode 9 delivers.
I think most people are watching the show as a piece of entertainment (what it really is) and then you have those who are really taking it in as a commentary on society or some s***. I get that Vince asks some philosophical and ethical questions using the show but at the end of the day, it's still just a show.
Most of the tweets I'm seeing about the show are shipping Carol and Zosia (partly because they're two attractive women and also) because people simply love to ship people together in shows (and frankly, outside of Carol and Zosia and discussing the ethics of an alien species taking over the entire world, there isn't much else to talk about in the show).
People will ship two characters who they know are wrong for each other and could ruin each other's lives so I don't know why some people are surprised they're doing the same here lol.
Agreed. I think this show is scratching some very specific itches about morality and agency thats hitting its viewers inluding myself in an unexpected and disarming way
As for shippers, I used to have major issues with them (still do in some circles) but they get so silly and creative they won me over hard. My favorite part of prestige tv and "cinema" is being able to let a breath out and get goofy with the more unserious side of fandom. I probably am biased!

I just think with how heavy the stakes are I only so much care about the love story especially since there is a larger plot
I'm not talking about you personally or even just KTT, look in the mirror. I asked you because the thought came to me while yall were having the relevant discussion
Take my question at face value and a great debate is on the table right there, but never mind
I think the moral implications of what fans want out of this show in particular is an interesting thought.
Nah I feel you, I mean if some are just hoping for a mushy mushy romance story, cool for them but I feel like that’s a huge disservice to what Vince is probably tryna create.
In the same way I wouldn’t just write this show off as “rape culture” even tho I think there’s room for that commentary, I don’t just see it as just that. It’s a lot more complex and more dynamic than that.

I wouldn't even call it a love story so much as it's a story about human connection. That's really what's at the root of the show so far.
Stanislaw Lem
Stanislaw Lem
Vince stole the idea from polish author....smh
Jfc it's more than just the Solaris book he took like mad ideas from Lem
Great show no doubt though

Wait what happen?
Never even thought about the hive already reading every book ever. And the thought of carol writing a new book meant a chance for them to experience new art

I mean the novels are a way to see what she is thinking or feeling too . I don’t imagine the vibe can truly get bored or need entertainment

Not really a matter of needing entertainment but they can still feel joy and excitement I would assume thats what they felt after reading Carol script
Fire episode
Feel like that episode had the most clues about plot points hidden throughout so far

What I be wondering is…. These “feelings” gotta be manufactured on purpose, cus no way in hell every single one of them LOVE her books, a lot of them think it’s trash but they not saying it
