I thought games had to be controller compatible or you had to configure it. Big reason why I never went back to super old game like COD2
Nah with the steam controller API, you can set any button to do anything a keyboard and mouse do. Makes those 4 extra backpadles amazing
Also the touchpad for a mouse. It was unexpectedly good on the steam controller
Wait a second….
Now the 64GB version isn’t looking bad

https://twitter.com/robotbrush/status/1416150442841628677It’s looking like a great option now. If they told people that at first,512gb model wouldn’t have moved that much lol
So when do y’all see them sending out emails for people to pay. I’m expecting late August -early September tbh

They said they will start in December
I bet they will email you and order and ship it out within a week.
So I wouldn’t expect it until your unit is ready to ship

I like this model of pre-ordering a lot. Makes you feel like you’ve got an important bill your suppose to pay so your gonna make sure you pay it lol

could be that this is like a test / dev kit version yk ?
Putting a top of the line super fast SD card in your deck and only using that 64GB for one heavy game could be the move

Nintendo will respond with the switch 2, not compatable with switch 1 games, can’t play any old games, a new Mario, and not as powerful as this

ironic that right below their line about three nintendo published games on switch costing $180 they talk about how this can play sims 4. all of the sims 4 dlc together would cost more than a steamdeck

They will never try to be that powerful, but what they can do is improve their online services, software. Be more fair with pricing regarding 3rd party games.

Yea,that’s one thing I noticed about Nintendo and third party games. It’s like your paying a premium to play stuff on Nintendo hardware
512 GB version now into Q3 2022

There’s gonna be some people really late to the party
the more I read about it the more impressive it sounds and as someone who's been a mac user for ages this feels like a perfect solution
