eye contactkanye’s stream numbers are high because of a strong back catalog and legendary legacy, not because he’s at the forefront of anything that people are looking forward to
Like others have said, there are plenty of legends with very strong back catalogs not getting anywhere near the daily streams Ye is still getting. Donda was massively hyped and that was only two years ago, people definitely still care for new music from him

He named an album after his mom, covered his entire career in it, called in every favor possible, did historic promotion with live stream listening parties- and it falls somewhere in the middle of his catalog. If not near the bottom.

At the end it‘s Kanye so you never know, he might pull something crazy and everyone is hyped again. He‘s pretty much the only artist that can do something like this so we need to wait and see what happens

Pretty much the whole hip hop community loves him, just look at Twitter and enough people would listen to his next project just for the fact because they‘re interested what he‘s going to say after everything that happened last year
