Not sure of any approval ratings on Soleimani with Iraqis, I assume he still has some popularity for leading much of the fight against ISIS.

But the assasination, especially since it was done on Iraqi soil, was without a doubt extremely unpopular, which is why the Iraqi parliament was pressured to vote to get US military presence out of Iraq.

Just like Iraq, the UK won't hesitate to go along with the US committing war crimes in that region.
