Yeah the flashback wasn’t really needed. They set it up with the property line line the first time. They reinforced it naturally with him saying those two people were his nephew. Just needed him to show up at the end. The audience could have clicked it together that the plan didn’t work and they were there to clean up

Hailee in that 90s fit might be the best someone has looked on screen this year or decent amount of time.

What role do yall think majors would have had? Smoke so he can act out the emotional ending?

Did enjoy that it felt lived in; didn’t bog down with too much character background

That’s exactly what I’m thinking. Ryan is top of the line with directing and writing and knows that type of stuff can boggle down a film.

I think if anyone was confused during testing is because they were on their phones during the 1st act. The vampire dude saying the guy who sold you this place is KKK and are planning to kill you shouldn’t have anyone confused cus it’s as straightforward as it gets.

what a well made movie. Music was def the highlight.

I watched it with my friend and he said "it was corny" and I asked why and he said Michael B. Jordan's accent seemed fake

Wow. I’ve been trying to get all of my thoughts together about this film since last night.
Just an incredibly ambitious and special film.
The film is so ambitious and full of ideas that you’d think Coogler was directing his final film and he was putting every ambitious idea he’s ever had in to one film . This film really has everything a film could have. It’s scary, dramatic, sexy, violent, funny, and immersive.

I’ll have a lot more to say about it over time, but for now I’m still processing the experience. But I really have no complaints at all

Not sure where this is gonna rank in my movies by the end of the year but won’t be surprised if it’s top 5. I think it’s his best movie so far.

I can’t wait for his x-files reboot man. Coogler is one of the best directors up with Nolan imo.

This is hands down Cooglers magnum opus. He peaked with this and it's not even close either this is so much cooler than anything else he's made

Dawg the moment where they do the one take and you see all the different types of music being played is next level s\*\*\*. And then they SHOW THE F\*\*\*ING VAMPS LURKING OUTSIDE WATCHING
