That was an incredible scene wtf
I can't get with them folks man I swear lmao
I thought it was awkward as well. But we all hold our independent opinion.
International audiences mostly. It’s still up $20m on Sinners at the WW box office. Should be close to see who finishes ahead. Sinners is so far gone at the domestic box office though
Sinners’ production and marketing budget probably costs WAY less then a MCU movie so even if Sinners is 20 million behind, it probably profited more money
That’s a win IMO
Watched yesterday prob my fav movie i watched in a min especially the first hour. How much thought provoking character and info they give in the first act and how it connects with the rest of the movie was nothing short of incredible and then ending it off with the music scene straight 11/10 s***.
i will say tho the third act at least for me brought this to a 10/10 to a 9 or 8 a couple of weird decisions with the vampires why do Stack and mary not have hive mind all of a sudden. How is mary even alive was she not outside with the other vampires at the end? Smoke just makes an agreement with stack and suddenly his vampire blood-lust just goes away? Really amazing movie despite its flaws tho
I always took those moments as:
Smoke just left Stack inside to keep him safe from the sun/deal with Klan. Wouldn’t be any reason to lock it up if Smoke is the last one standing
Mid credit scene they briefly show Mary running down the road of the juke. I assumed Stack told her to go after Annie died and told her he was gonna meet her wherever the following night and all that good stuff
For the last bit we seen Stack and Mary briefly snap out of the influence Remmick had over them with Annie being killed and Smoke about to stab Stack so with Remmick dead I’m sure his influence is gone. Of course they probably were still eating ppl over those years but he really had no reason to ruin Sammie’s short time left by turning his club staff into vamps
Turns out that film didn't have legs like we though
Which is hilarious considering everyone was saying that it was going to start a new era for Marvel

A very beautiful scene indeed
Under the belief that if that couple wasn’t Klan members Remmick would of just passed on through Clarksdale & made his little cult elsewhere

My problem with the vampires is their reaction to sunlight seems inconsistent. When we meet Remy he’s running around in the daylight with a bunch of burns all over his body. But then in the climax as soon as the sun peeks over the horizon everybody immediately bursts into flames.

The longer you think about it, the more holes you start to see. The film is flawed, and the last third is far from perfect, even though overall, I liked it. I just put it in my head that most movie logic is dumb and either follows convenience or the rule of cool

Thunderbolts not even going to break even.
