We need good dialogue and companion systems back. Why bump millions into your rpg and the only thing you can respond to characters is „yes“ and „no“

Your world only has meaning when the characters you talk to dislike and like you for being the character that you are. I hate playing an evil character but literally nobody in the world cares until the ending cutscene. Lemme get insulted for doing bad stuff and feel consequences

-make deathstroke a real

-tweak the story a little bit

The entire consensus would change. I don’t think these flaws are big enough to rule this game out as the best. I was more invested in the world and story than I was with city tbh. Batmobile sections weren’t that bad either

The tank fights with the batmobile were fun, but too repetitive by the end. The ones that could only be destroyed from behind added a nice level of difficulty tho

It has the absolute best combat by far, each character feels much more refined and unique compared to the older games. Still looks amazing, Gotham’s atmosphere is top notch, and has a bunch of content to play around with.

That story though man…I replayed Arkham Knight back in 2020, and I was still as disappointed as I was back in 2015

And the DLC was bad too man wtf

Far from a masterpiece. But I would take many elements from that game to create the perfect game for me

I agree the story needed work but at the very least it kept me interested and engaged in a way that Arkham city just couldn’t (Despite it being more refined)
Hugo strange was kinda mid as a villain

Strange is mid, I can’t lie about that. He’s easily the least interesting thing about City.

Gotta disagree on the engagement part though, City just does it all in terms of keeping things exciting. The Courthouse, Penguins Museum, Catwoman, Wonder City all push the stakes and feel like an actual comic. New page, new colorful characters. Like Knight has this too, but that’s mostly towards the end of the game. There’s a good chunk of Knight where you are just fighting a bunch of soldiers for awhile

cyberpunk is a good game if you think about it like a slightly larger deus ex

in many cases yeah, but I don't like games that are on rails or have a definite ending, I like stuff I can play endlessly and explore/discover new things
