i dont see him choosing not to get involved in most rap bullshit really as pretentious, because thats all i feel like he does really. bro prides himself on keeping to himself and being like one of maybe two niggas in his generation of rappers talking about staying out of trouble and trying to elevate ones self and family
Ppl on this site cant relate to that because everyone on this forum wants to see black men crash out thus think a black man that doesnt even like strangers over at his house as something “pretentious” and not just a nigga that loves peace.
Like a LOT of niggas hated on him for his views during the beef (just pointing out everything that was wrong with the industry + rappers getting f***ed over), which…that’s just real.
Edit: aint even read through this thread making that last paragraph lololol. Even I was annoyed at first but as an artist…like I dont think niggas realize how BAD the landscape has gotten + about to get for us in the long term. Maybe that’s why I’m not as annoyed about him bringing it up during everyone asking him for his opinion (“nigga we literally are not making money anymore from music f*** I care about rap beef for”)
Itt: “shut up and rap” energy from a lot of yall nighas lol.
I will say that i legitimately don't think he was/is cripping like he says though.. it makes for good content but he's been rapping professionally for way too long and he's has too much good decision making capability to actually be an active gang member. His music is good to rap fans but obviously falls flat to genpop.
So the fact he's been able to consistently drop music and show up to performances, interviews make videos etc etc just doesn't give actual gangbanger. I'm from Atlanta tho so idk how the gang niggas are out in long beach but over here it's essentially a nigga that cannot fit into society for some reason or another.
Oh ok this racist as f***
U gotta b white
Lot of posts itt by white ppl that have a low opinion of outspoken black people (like whoever posted that “vince aint a gangbanger because he too smart and gangbangers are all just stupid dummies” ass post i quoted) cause it makes them uncomfortable lol

The way OP describes Vince is how I’d describe like half of music sxn lmao
These nigga be they own worst enemies
I remember Vince doing an interview in my country years ago and it was surprising to see how relaxed and thoughtful he was, which leads me to believe Vince is a lot less blunt if you were to Conversate with Vince as a person.
I stopped taking OP seriously when he said his music was ass.
Ok I took that part out bc it was irrelevant and music is subjective and i think i can agree to disagree on that
Everything else is facts tho

and thas facts. i think theres enough rappers that enjoyed the spectacle of the beef (PAUSE
) just as fans of the genre and the art that you dont really need everybody opinion. and niggas shouldnt get mad when dude tells you his opinion about what he really thinks about all this. im sure vince enjoyed the battle like everyone else but i think his personal mission is more important so whenever asked i think it's better he talks about real problems instead because it's not like other niggas is really

Did this s***, I live this s***, believe
Old s*** so now I'm overseas
I blame drake for having white boys on the internet "checking the gangsta" of niggas they do not know from places they don't live in.
dont forget tht nigga came up trying to be an odd future nigga and even tyler the f***ing creator thought he was corny
so tht say something about him

T was just being bitter because Vince was hanging with Earl a lot
Since then Tyler and Vince have went on tour twice and made a song together
