Americans couldn't have ruined Black Mirror because the series has been terrible from day one. Maybe Americans made it more trash than it already was or something, but you can't ruin something that was never good to begin with

95 percent of Comedy movies either trash off first watch or trash with second viewings.

    No in between

You're not watching good comedies then

this is an interesting take, i usually avoid comedies too because they're cringe to me or the humor is just not funny to me, I prefer subtlety. is this the same for you? i'm tough when it comes to comedies but recently I've enjoyed logan lucky and knives out.

    • Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes one of the best movies of all time. With the whole trilogy being one of the best movie trilogies of all time. The whole Ceasar arc from beginning to end is just beautiful. I copped the book by Maurice after finishing the movies.

    • Cloverfield might be the only found footage movie that is actually a classic. It's the only movie where it really fits and isn't just some stupid gimmick or annoyance imo

    • You Were Never Really Here with Phoenix is quite the bore. Really overrated movie that only stands out because Phoenix can play those types of characters really well

    • They should make more modern Lovecraftian inspired movies with a budget. There's so much to do with the subgenre but only a few movies are really good. Most of them are trash

    • DiCaprio is def NOT overrated, every movie i've seen him in he's great. He might have too much of a recognizable face and have some things that he overdoes sometimes (the dramatic way of lowering his voice when he's speaking to someone for example) but i feel like he has showed to be versatile, and he really knows what roles to pick

I remember seeing Dawn in theaters and being blown away how great it was. I was not prepared for that lol

Black mirror is so funny with how deep it tries to be. That one eps where that pedo gets trolled into robbing a bank is the most unintentionally hilarious s*** ever

The Golden Age of Television only had a handful of shows that will withstand the test of time. You really had to be there for most of the critically acclaimed ones

don’t know how unpopular it is but macgruber one of my favorite comedies. hope the new tv show is good

I love movies that mix drama and comedy together.

    Feels like a real situation.

I can tolerate only comedy movies but i don’t particularly find them rewatchable for the most part.

I consider Logan Lucky and Knives Out in this bracket.

Subtle/Dry Comedy tends to be my preference.

this is the end trash on rewatch
Borat is a great comedy but it’s not exactly something i’d ever rewatch

Edgar Wright movies don’t have very much rewatch value for me.

Shaun of The Dead and Scott Pilgrim are kinda of an exception but even then i didn’t particularly find them as funny on rewatch

Tarantino films feel like it’s own ball park. I don’t consider them primarily comedy movies

Usually what i consider Comedy movies are movies like Superbad and Get Hard, etc.

The comedy films i hold in the five percent are usually movies like Blazing Saddles. And even then i gotta really be in the mood.

I dont get why it doesnt get more love. The whole trilogy and especially Dawn are soooo good

Whenever i watch the trailer for the last movie i still get goosebumps when ceasar says: "i came for you" lol

    BRAVE

Outside of Joaquin Phoenix's stellar performance, Joker is as good as a glorified cult B movie that fanboys can justify thinking is an all-time GOAT film because of its typical "Oscar worthy" traits - both aesthetically and subject matter wise

    - BRAVE

Joker really had all this hype but i see more and more ppl disliking or not liking the movie as much so youre def not on your own with this opinion.

I agree that Phoenix carries this heavily but still its a really great movie imo. Great shots, really love the music too. And i actually care about Phoenix character. I'd rather watch Joker over your standard superhero movie every time.

Damn guess thats another unpopular opinion of mine: i think most of the MCU movies are overrated and i really dont get why they are some of the most popular movies OAT
