The Town is Ben's best, and not just because it's a smooth watch. It has so much texture in terms of character work, and feels lived in.

Live by Night is easily his worst effort.

As for QT's best, it's a toss-up between Jackie, Pulp, H8ful.
Death Proof is not as awful as I thought it would be but it's easily the weakest film he's ever made.

Matt Reeves' Batman runs too long, has pacing issues and the third act is a colossal mess.

I think black creatives in Hollywood are the foremost group that are kept from dabbling in historical fiction. I should say specifically alternate historical fiction. For example, it’s extremely unlikely we’ll get a “Man in the High Castle” that centers the black plight. The only way these things are explored, is through a comical lens, where it’s so absurd it’s dumb, or a “this only leads to more of the same” type speeches.

Man in high castle is book based but yeah world war 2 will get milked infinitely more than slavery . World war 2 and Nazis in all media is just money printer

Yea I know it was a novel originally. Point still stands, you may be able to have alternative history novels by black authors (less barrier to entry) but I don’t know of any that have been adapted.

Even in the book world, it’s not a particularly big thing among major publishers. They’ve only recently started pushing fantasy/sci-fi from a non-white/European/eastern Asian background. South East Asian mythology/fantasy is experiencing a real boom right now. African mythology is now being looked at, it will heavily depend on the success of Blood And Bone adaptation tbh.

Raimi Spider-Man movies are overrated.

They’re good, but they’re not by any means in a different league than any of Andrew, or Tom’s films. Shameik had the best Spider-Man movies overall.

Bully maguire eating his daughters cookies instead of her cookies was the least believable thing about Spider-Man 3

The Marvels is a great and fun superhero movie. Don’t deserve the hate it got but it’s mostly because of the all women cast that made nerds downgrade it and it somehow echo chambered into the masses opinion.

I don't care for her character at all but none of those movies deseved the hatred it got. Whiny ass anti-woke snowflakes should not have had as loud of a voice as they did.
