Which version did you watch?
One version immediately begins with the title screen and cuts to the club with the Jay-Z line "Who you know fresher than Hov riddle me that?" from Numb/Encore
The other version starts with a boat race sequence, then title and the club needle drop above.
I like both, but I definitely prefer the one that jumps straight to the club cause that needle drop hits so hard being right at the start of the film
watched the club one and oh god was it great, i really love that as a intro, i'll probs watch the other version as well, are there any major differences in them?

Its just the different openings IIRC. I know a few people who like the boat race intro better so I was hyped to watch it, but it was a little underwhelming and didn't carry the same "in your face" impact for me as the club start.
Seeing the club one first probably spoiled me though cause I really can't ever rewatch that film without hearing that "fresher than Hov" line with the dancer's silhouette first thing

hm i'll probably give it a watch soon enough, but i do agree i absolutely loved that as a intro and feel it set the tone of it perfectly as a instant punch of excitement but i'll see what i think of the other version

"Instant punch of excitement" is exactly the way to describe it
The ending is my favorite though. As soon as "Auto Rock" starts playing with Jamie Foxx by his wife's hospital bed, and then the cuts between Farrell standing on the beach and Gong Li in the boat driving away... That whole sequence is f***ing perfect to me.
One man reunites with his love while the other loses the love he was searching for throughout the whole film, and it's like they're right back where they were when the film began as Farrell walks through the hospital doors

exactly! the whole film is simply perfection in action, how this was split critically when it first came out i have no idea

Likely a lot of the naysayers were people who were either fans of the original show, or they were just turned off by its unconventional presentation.
Either way, they're def on the wrong side of history
BTW, there are some other differences between the versions: the boat race version is the director's cut, and has a couple other brief scenes involving both of the main romantic couples.

yah i do feel most of the hate probs came from people who were really into the og show and weren't into the presentation
also, yah i'll def check that out then and see what i think of that version

"You don't need to go home man"
"They said the wouldn't hurt em"
"They lied..."
Star Wars is the most overrated film franchise ever
The Big Bang Theory is trash
GoT season 8 was sick
Facts with star wars but it makes up for it by having one of the best aesthetics in film
The last jedi is one of the best star wars movies and a lot of the complaints towards it are really dumb or hypocritical tbh. Canto bight was poo tho.

Yo what’s the album in your banner it reminds me of something
Infinity War 2 is extremely overrated. I didn't think about that film once after seeing it. True classic films that are great stick with you. This movie was just a big moment in movie history that quickly passed. Besides the memes and marvel fans, who really discusses the film?

if you went into that thinking it could possibly be a true classic that people are gonna keep thinking about then you're already lost

fast food cinema
not my opinion but i once saw some dude at another forum saying that We Need To Talk About Kevin is about how killer or sociopath's are born and not made and i still cant think about how stupid that guy is
Like did u even watched the movie?
2001 A space odyssey is a snooze fest. BvS better than anything Marvel has dropped except Civil War. Black Mirror is top 5 series of all time. Gary Oldman is a better actor than Daniel Day Lewis. The Joker hype is just for a while and will die down eventually because of how most of its ideas are nothing new. Good movie regardless
